Ich hab eine Frage - wie wichtig ist für dich Stehhöhe im Camper ? Hattest du einmal einen Camper ohne Stehhöhe? Wie sind deine Erfahrungen? Vielen Dank im voraus ! VG

Hey, also für mich tun sich da unterschiedliche Fragen auf. Erstmal hatte ich nie einen Van vorher, also auch nichts unter Stehhöhe. Es gibt unterschiedliche Punkte. Mit ner Dusche im Van ist Stehhöhe schon sehr wichtig. Wenn man dauerhaft drinnen wohnt denke ich auch. Man sitzt u d liegt zwar sehr viel, weil es gemütlicher ist. Aber wenn mal ein Regentag ist und man nur drinnen ist, ist es auch schön, wenn man mal aufstehen kann zum bewegen. Wird dem einen wichtiger sein, als dem Anderen. Man muss das für sich abwägen. Als Camper auf Zeit für WE oder so fände ich es nicht mehr so wichtig. Meine Ansicht 😊🤙🏼 Gruß Ronny

Wow! WOW!! Just WOW!!! I'm an almost 76 year old Aussie and absolutely LOVE this conversion! I've been waiting and waiting to see one which blocks off the cab and uses the space to build something - so hate those makeshift curtains in almost every other build. Not only a talented builder, but creative too! Job well done!!

Did you mount those upper cupboards using rivnuts? I wouldn't like to think what could happen in a highspeed crash. Hey did did excellent work though. I am maybe 10% through and you've done things I am scared to do on my build, since I have low experience. One thing I've learned though, you need vapor barriers. Anything metal on the inside that connects to the outside shell is a problem. Because any condensation in the air on your inside habitat, will be attracted to that metal because of the temperature different and it will cause it to drip and create puddles. I think the carpet on the walls will help but I noticed there were some exposed metals. If you get some of that silver bubblewrap and metal tape you can really seal that metal in

Danke 😊 Das sind Aluminumplatten (Alubutyl). Damit klingt es nicht so blechernd im Auto. Aber eigentlich braucht man es nicht. Nur bei den Rüren. Dann klingen die besser wenn man sie zu macht und scheppern nicht so.

I have a shower with a built-in pump at the end of the hose. So I can use the shower inside rhe van and outside. More possibilitie. More usability and less construction work on the van. 🤷🏻‍♂️😊

This is awesome it looks great! You convinced me to get a Renault Master L3H2. I would like to work on it at least 2/3 hours a day during work days and the entire day during my off days. Do you think i could finish it in 6 months or less like this? Never converted a van before but i do know my way with wiring electronics thankfully:)

Yes, that’s definitely possible. But it also depends on the weather. When the weather is good, you’re faster. In bad weather you can’t do some things and it takes time to wait for better weather. Enjoy you build 😊💪🏼

If your reasoning is just camping, the build is awesome. If your reasoning is living full time (which IS a thing a lot of people do over the fact that having a house is impossible nowadays), then I would highly reccomend NOT isolating the back of the van from the front. Having a sliding door or something, or even acurtain from the driving seats directly to the living area is important, especially if you want to be stealthy. You don't want people knowing you have a house with you, for security, you don't want to get OUT of the driving, to walk into the back during a night in a dangerous place, or a place you don't feel totally safe. The best way is literally making it easy to drive and go off to go to sleep or cook. Again, as a camper it's awesome,if you're gonna use that to travel once or twice a year to see nature and all that this is awesome. As a living space 24/7 I think there's some security things that could and should be addessed, always.

Ich habe vom Fahrerraum zum Wohnraum einen kleinen Durchgang, wo ich easy durchpasse und jederzeit schnell nach vorn kann, um loszufahren. Trotzdem ist es so gebaut, dass man das von außen nicht erkennen kann. Sicherheit eben. 😊

I mean how long would it take to build, if it is not a weekend project, but you'd build it every day morning til evening. I'm just wondering because we would like to trip around this summer, but 11 months.. 😥

Hey, no no, 11 month ist the time from start to finish. But i had a break for round about 4 Month. Oct to March you can not work so much. Is to cold for glu and painting and much more. If you start at march with a good place or a hall you can finish it in 5 Month. Than you have to work from morning to evening 😊

Efekt końcowy jest naprawdę super ekstra. Ale mam tylko dwie uwagi i o to cię zapytam. Czy nie uważasz teraz/po dwóch latach/ że dałeś za dużo drzewa do auta🤔 Przecież tyle materiału z drewna co ty tam włożyłeś musiało zrobić sporą wagę, a to nie jest dobre. Podłoga z paneli to bardzo kiepski pomysł, jeden z najgorszych. Druga, bardzo ważna sprawa- Termoizolacja🤔 Nie pozabezpieczałeś wcześniej wszystkich profili metalowych tej budy i na pewno powstają mostki termiczne co w połączeniu z taką ilością drzewa w samochodzie sprzyja temu, że drewno pochłaniać będzie skropliny z tych profili metalowych, w efekcie szybko zamieszka tam wilgoć i grzyb. I wtedy nie pomogą żadne wymienniki powietrza. Może się mylę, ale termoizolacja w takich przypadkach to najbardziej wymagające dokładności czynności. Jeżeli wykonamy to nie dokładnie- cała nasza praca i wydane pieniądze na materiały pójdą w niedługim czasie do kosza na śmieci. Daj znać co tam słychać na tą chwilę.

What was that sticky insulation? It’s very thin…R-factor? And the cloth on the doors that molded to the shape?? No door to the cab??? You do have some mad skills, I’ll grant you that.

The insulation is: Armaflex or K-Flex. The R-Factor i didnt know. The grey one ist FILZ (In german) whit glue spray. Easy and good looking 😄

what kind of drill bit are you using to make holes into your van's frame work... I cannot get any new bits to drill a hole...HELP I tried some self tapping screws but they didn't work very well.... do I need better screws or a better drill bit. My new dewalt and bosch bits did not work. AND.... what brand self tapping screw is best for penetrating that steel van frame work?

I drilled the holes with a drill and inserted rivet nuts with a rivet nut pliers. Then I have a thread and can screw in normal screws. In the video to the bed I have a link in the video description to this tool. I hope this helps. 🙏🏼🤙🏼

Thx. 😄 I have a lot of space. Over the bed, left side is for clothes, in the back of the cam, behind the drivers cabin space for kitchen stuff. And a lot lot space under the bed 😊 you see, more than enough 😉 greetings
