Finally! A yacht builder that understands that smaller engines give greater range. I've never seen 390HP engines on a yacht that size. Most yacht builders use engines twice that size and get half of the range. Good for them.
Keith Green it’s one of the many benefits of an Explorer yacht.. it’s about exploring going out on adventures not just kicking up massive wake or burning fuel like it’s going out of style 😂
Hey Keith, i partially agree. An economical cruise at 9 knots for 3000 nm range is pretty low, but i guess that's the compromise you need to swallow when you want to keep the fuel consumption and engine size / costs low. On the other hand i would say, that bigger engines that are revving just above idle for the same speed are not consuming more fuel and you have the option for higher speed if needed...
@cornskid Yes, you're right about that. The argument was, that smaller engines with an higher output on revs are not as economical than larger engines that are less stressed with the same power output at the same speed. The topspeed will also increase to a certain level, but that was not the the point...
A bigger engine that does not work as hard has benefits! 1. It will use same fuel consumption at low speed as these engines 2. If you are in a hurry you have a bit more speed but most of all 3. The engines will have a longer life span as they dont rev and work as hard as smaller engines!! Most people dont realize this! 2 things ware out an engine 1. Heavy load and 2. Reving high! So bigger is better!! Its a fact!!!
I like the casual style of this boat. I can’t afford a rowboat but when I win the Powerball I will give Dennis Yachting a call. I always enjoy the Dennison videos. Thank you.
It’s a nice compact size without compromising the comfort and safety. The range is great and it will be lot easier to get in and out of harbours. Good utilisations of space and fit outs looks high quality and not cramped either. All in all a wonderful job on the CAD as a result a fantastic end product. Well done 👍
Great yacht, just the kind that makes me dream. No dock queen and no show off, just a very elegant, quality gentleman's yacht with intelligent engines for her hull speed. The key is her hull and the stability, due to the weight distribution. It is like a luxury Range Rover for ocean travel, not a Lambo for the show. My personal wallet will only take me to 50 ft, but also Dutch and steel. Well.... more like a Defender ; )
Thank you for showing the engine room, I wish you would have taken the time to look around in there. The tour was simply the camera on the main deck, next time talk to us.
My new favorite boat (ok maybe second to Khalilah) Explorer yachts just epitomize everything I love about boating, being able to see more of this planet and being as close to nature and isolated from the “regular world”. Every time I get on a boat even my 17’ Whaler I get to leave all my problems at the dock and just go out and enjoy life
Thats the perfect comment my friend! Being on the ocean pulls you out of this world like a child in its parents arms! If i win tattslotto i will buy a new princess y85 and live the rest of my life on the ocean and at dock!! Share it with as much family and friends! Even find the odd homeless person and spoil them for a few days!! If people ask me what it is about yachting i say for me it would feel like ive been in prison my whole life then one morning your told your free to go home!! Thats how it would feel! I cannot work due to bad health so working to achieve this is not possible but i get a lotto ticket every week and will till the day i die! I will never stop believing one day it will happen! It keeps me going i guess but loved your comment its so true just say goodbye to this world FOREVER! not much i would miss!!😁⚓🛥 take care hope any dreams you have come true!!
The evolution of the modern yacht is remarkable, but I don't get a boat that is sold as a built-like-a-vault, go-anywhere-explorer, and at the same time designed to a large degree as a 20 person weekend party boat. The upper deck is pure wet bar fun.
Nailed the music again. Nicely done. Any of that electronic silky smooth stuff...you almost can't go wrong. Some of it however should be avoided for videos like these.
Wow! That is one very nicely set up boat, the decor is perfect! Not too over the top with certain aspects, all I need is my lotto numbers to come in, and I'll be there to buy it. 😉
When I see things like this I kick myself for taking the safe route to upper middle class. Kinda makes me wish I had of taken the riskier path that may have allowed for a retirement on a beautiful vessel like this. If you can get the price down to compete with a new Corvette my dream may not be lost. lol Yea, I can hear you all laughing from here. lol
WOW 😍😍😍 this one is absolutely perfect, I wouldn't change a single thing. In love with it!!! Only one question left: how much is this beauty? And are the extra toys included in the price? P.S. I'd have liked you to show a little bit better the crew spaces, but it's totally fine 🙃 great tour!
we're trying to incorporate more crew shots but can be a challenge sometimes w/ a crew actively living onboard. It's a hard ask, especially when the crew is working hard to get the rest of the yacht in perfect condition for the video :)
Absolutely amazing yacht. Though I do find it very frustrating. I've scoured the internet and this is the only video I can find of a tour of the Van der Valk Explorer yacht. Do Van der Valk Shipyard purposely go out of their way to not advertise their yachts? I just don't understand.
lovely yacht , good presentation , love the layout of this boat , flows really well , would like a little better top speed tho but hey cant have everything .
@@DenisonYachting would idealy be looking for a cruise of 15 to 18 and top above 20 , hope to cruise some european waters and although may be paranoid my other half is terrified of pirates in certain waters .
Van der valk is an amazing yacht, no doubt. One objection I have however, is in the wheelhouse. Why the screens and instruments would take half of the view ahead blocking the windows? This amazing yacht is not alone with this flaw, there are others. When I pilot my boat, I really want unobstructed view ahead, screens and panels should be in a lower position than shown here. Otherwise, a superb yacht indeed!
Beautiful design and layout, the only thing I would change would be inside, not a big fan of white and there's a little to much for me in the interior!
Thanks for the comment, Simon and we welcome criticisms like this... but PROMISE if you saw her in real life you'd think she was much nicer than a hotel room. Re: artwork + interiors, many people place things like paintings, art, colors, etc. to remind and inspire them of place they are not... as a yacht is on the water, you'd be surprised how many people decorate their boats with things that have nothing to do with the sea, as they are already surrounded by that very subject. Hope that makes sense (and we may have done a poor job of describing this rationale?)
I feel the same.. With some much technology - auto driving/sailing why do we need a full crew with a captain?? Spending this type of money I want to enjoy driving it myself.....
@@rogiste1 I think that there is something about the size of the boat that makes crew a requirement. I read that something around 78 feet is the limit for owner operator without a captain licence.
5:09 .."very safe even for children"...... 5:11 ..."this is a side door, where you can enter the docks from the side".... lol..that door child proof? oh hell..who cares, this is still my dream boat!! I'll just order a custom child safety hornist. In addition to all the science equipment I wll be adding to it anyways. I want to outfit it like my science hero, the late Jacques Cousteau ( I think I spelt it right...lol).
"An Explorer Yacht to go anywhere on the planet"..........but with an Range of only 3000 nm ???? Maybe you mean to go anywhere in the Mediterranean Sea or North Europe.........! I would never try to go with this ship into the Roaring 40's or even more South ! Otherwise it's a nice little Boat !
