I absolutely loved eddie and the bands amazing instrumentals but I could never get into any of the lyrics or the voice. I can listen to instrumental van halen all day though
the hell... that sounds like i heard this before in NFS 1 - 3 ... possibly during one of those showcase vehicle videos. i mean its great but weird, never assumed they actually ripped off (even tho that was prevailing trend at the time) someone.
The reason he is able to make instrumentals of Van Halen songs is because quite a few DLR era songs were used on the Guitar Hero Van Halen game, and from there, the isolated tracks could be pulled, because in the game each instrument has its own track because if the player stops playing with their controller, the audio of the instrument they're playing drops out. Van Hagar songs do not exist in isolated track form because they aren't on the Guitar Hero game. The only people who would have the isolated tracks from Van Hagar songs would be Warner Bros. and Eddie himself.
I'm sure there are other producers/engineers who have copies (it was common practice for these guys to share with each other), but they aren't sharing them publicly, at least not yet... I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness for Guitar Hero!
No disrespect to DLR as I'm a huge fan of his vocal work, there's no denying that the best vocals in the band were Eddie's guitar. Just listen to him sing 🎸 🔥 💎 🎶
