Eddie was by farvway ahead of his time. Sammy made the band larger than life. To bad Eddie couldn't get over himself and caused so many problems. Alex was always great and Michael was the backbone. RIP Eddie.

I was still in the military when I first heard this around '95, '96, and I immediately fell in love with this song. It just hits your heart and soul, and Eddie's guitar solo gave me goosebumps on this. Sammy's voice is so powerful, one of the most underrated and one of the most under appreciated frontman and vocalist. May God bless your soul, Eddie ! The guitar world will forever remember you, thank you for your music.

balance was great,but it lacked that "fluff" pop hit that other albums had... it didnt bother me though. My favorite on that album was Feelin. "I dont like what i been told i'm feelin".

Rock bands in the 80s had some insane vocals!!!! I’m still in awe of Eddie Van Halen’s immense talent on the guitar and piano. He seemed so dedicated. That guitar gave him purpose. No wonder he is so good. He cherished his guitar and God given talent. We should all strive to be like that with our own talents. RIP

SOOOO POWERFUL! I just finished learning Eruption! i started the day Eddie passed, to honor him. Ive been playing since '86 and it was finally TIME to learn that piece! I remember trying to learn Van Halen songs in the 80's by lifting a needle on and off a RECORD!

Chris Wright , i personally like both versions of Van Halen but really like most of Sammy Hagar’s music. I don’t believe Sammy would actually join their band again. Not saying he wouldn’t do some kind of reunion type stuff with them but not ever be part of Van Halen again. Besides he never really needed to be in Van Halen to begin with. He was already a famous “ rockstar” when he joined.

Eddie’s personal life was jacked but what came out of that was the best guitar player of our generation. He did however raise a great son. Nice that he was able to pull himself together in his later years. Gone too soon. RIP Eddie!

Apparently you didn't listen to the last couple albums David Lee was on. Diver Down, half the album was cover tunes and 1984 was pure pop. Sammy actually brought some rock back to the band.
