Michael Anthony is cool af! I was manager of a Maui Tacos restaurant in Hawaii on Maui and Mad Anthony came in with his wife and family. I comped his lunch and hooked him up with some of our bottled hot sauces and a few t-shirts and hats. The next day he comes back with an autographed photo and a sweet VH t-shirt. He says, "thanks for the food, hot sauce and swag yesterday." Mr. Anthony, you're a class act and thanks for the awesome experience of meeting you and your family!

I was born in '92, but my dad played this VHS, along with every single VH album-nonstop when I was growing up. I have the most vivid memories of my dad and I singing and dancing around our living room to Runaround and Top of the World... This band was a defining piece of my childhood. Michael Anthony is very under-rated, as a bassist and even more as back-up vocal. His high-pitch voice brings all the spice needed in every songs. What an amazing band!

This show really makes justice to Michael Anthony. If you listen to it with good speakers or headphones, you will note how solid Mikey really was on his groove. Love it.

Literally one of the best rock bands ever. It sounds absolutely huge.

Not only was Eddie a great guitarist/musician, he blazed the path that thousands if not millions if future guitarists would follow. Sure, there are people that play faster, but he was the complete package and was doing this before it was "cool" to do so. He is sorely missed today and will be for decades to come.

This was when van Halen was tight... one of the best live performances of all time.

Man it’s this concert that makes me miss him the most. So healthy and happy, perfect performance for everyone. What a wonderful memory to leave behind.

This particular era of the lineup is almost untouchable. The power of metal, the pop hooks and melody combined with the virtuosity. Everyone at the top of their game. Just WOW!

No change of costumes, no back up dancers, no elaborate stage designs, no nudity, no cp's flashing...just 4 guys having a good time playing their own instruments and singing originally composed songs ..Energy, talent, raw ..miss those decade....people standing and cheering..This is what a concert is supposed to be...

Saw Sammy and his Circle of Higher Spirits tour with Michael, Joe Satrianie and Jason Bonham in Charlotte Friday night. Tons of Van Halen songs. Awesome show. They really payed respect to what Eddie and Alex created. Sounded almost like the Van Halen years and at times better if that's possible. So glad they're keeping the VH music alive.

This was a amazing tour. Eddie seemed so happy and played great when I saw them here in KC. RIP King 👑 Edward. Your going to be missed.

My dad had this on VCR tape when I was a kid growing up in the 90s. I remember setting up a bunch of stuffed animals in the living room & putting on a concert with this playing in the background. Great times lol. But man looking back on this now, I’m amazed at how tight they sounded as a band here. Every single member is just incredibly on point. I’m not a massive VH fan but they will forever be etched into my childhood memories & I have love for them. RIP Eddie Van Halen 🎸🎶

This is what happens when a band is hitting on all cylinders. Sounding incredible live, not missing a note. Each and every member is doing their part perfectly. Eddie is the best, but Sammy sounds incredible live; even today at 72 years old. Alex is one of the best drummers to sit behind a kit and Mikey with the thundering bass while hitting those high notes just make this one monster band. Glad the boys mended fences before Ed's passing. RIP Ed. Rock on guys!

Michael Anthony's high harmony is world class. Absolutely ridiculous his range; to be able to get above Sam and harmonize is just a fantastic gift. And he can still do it. Not too sure about these notes here from 30+ years ago, but he still has that high harmony. And just a great guy!

Anyone who loved Van Halen has to love Michael Anthony and hate what they did to him. He was as valuable in their rise to fame as any of the other band members. He also held it together personally through all the rock and roll days, his health, his marriage.....so much respect for this guy.

Alex Van Halen one of his greatest solo's . When he spoke about his dad telling him to always play like its your last teared me up. Loosing your parents is the first cut by that sword. Loosing a sibling you never come back . I loss my baby brother to brain cancer then 8 months to the day I lost my middle aged brother to liver cancer 2021-2022 took my soul to grief & my heart to heaven. 🖤

This was filmed at Selland Arena in Fresno CA over two nights of sold out shows. I was lucky enough to be there. One of the best concerts ever!

Wow people!! I just had a thought here and wanted to pass it on to all of you Really passionate Van Halens fans around the world. First, Im 57 now, and, yes, Ive been here for there entire career !!! 1978 to 2022. So im watching this again cause just like you I really cant ever get enough you know? Im sure we can all agree that this probably is one of the most incredible live Rock Concerts thats ever been recorded. The bands live show sound is by far the cleanest, crispy, tightest knit group of musicans to ever be seen or heard in the entire history of Rock Music !!! Well, i have a serious problem with people who try and claim that they are real serious Van Halen fans but also hate Sammy and everything they ever did together as a band once Dave left. With that said, I have the same problem with the Dave haters also, plus, we can even throw in Gary for the hell of it ok. WTF!!!! Seriously people !!! WTF !!! I mean, are these people actually serious ? It pisses me off beyond comprehension when I hear these Idiots who literally think they are true Van Halen fans but discount or completely throw half of there material into the trash like its dog shit !!! I swear that i get this urge to knock there teeth out!!! Do these morons actually think that Ed would actually consider them true Van Halen fans? Seriously!!! I saw Van Halen live twice before 1980 and again at the 83 US festival. Many times since with Sammy. My favorite band of all time. I have plenty of personal memories with them that I will not share here. Great real true dudes. Miss you Eddie! One love ❤️

Watching this on my older brothers lazer disc as a kid is what got me into Van Halen. I was so blown away and watching Eddie play inspired me to pick up the guitar! RIP Eddie! Millions of lives wouldn't be the same without you!

With Van Hagar, Sammy has the ability to write songs that have "real" meaning that matters. He also knows how to grab everyone's attention with his energy, confidence, and humbleness. We become mesmerized by it, especially those who understand and have experienced what he has. That experience is a forbidden and ridiculed topic to most and that in itself will keep this masterpiece fresh. Even Pantera almost hired him to front. And Davd Lee Roth knew how to replicate Jim Dandy, jump, do the splits, and make people not stand him. It's not even a case but if it was, Case closed!!!!

I'm just getting into VH and this is the first time seeing this video. I can't tell you how much joy I am feeling right now for listening to all this music for the first time! Given my music tastes, I've always known I'd love this band and Eddie but never got around to listening deeply into them until now. I've always been a huge classic rock and 80's rock fan but listening to all the VH albums and now this concern, I feel like my library of rock listening experience is finally complete. These guys are the CORE of that 80's rock band sound and they're just so amazing to watch live in this video. Thank you to whoever posted this video many years go!!!

I was 22 years old and going to Community college when this cd/vhs came in out in 1993 went straight from class to Sound Warehouse to purchase it saw the tour that summer in Denver, such great times of my youth miss them...Happy anniversary to Live: Right here, Right now!!!!

Too sad that Eddie is gone, but thank god we have all of these amazing memories - would love to have seen them live but watching this regularly reminds us Van Halen were the BEST and most incredible musicians - can never get enough!!

You hear that? You feel that? That's called happiness, and fun. Two things we've seemingly forgotten how to have in this day and age. It's not right that this kind of music stays in the past, we need it now more than ever.

Eddie Van Halen soloing alone was the electric guitar version of J.S bach. RIP man.

Blessed to have seen this tour in Belgium in 1993. They sounded super tight together as a band and they just looked like they were having fun. Cue to a couple of years later and I was at Uni in Australia when the Van Halen III lineup toured with Gary Cherone. Having seen Gary perform with Extreme I thought he was an amazing singer and performer. But after listening to VH III it just didn’t cut it for me and I opted not to go see the tour. When that lineup didn’t last past that tour and VH went through all their revolving door changes with Sammy and Dave, then booting out Sammy and Mike for good, I’m glad this was the incarnation of the band that I saw. Everyone at the top of their game and just having an all out great time on stage. It came across in the performance and the crowd’s appreciation. Still loved the David Lee Roth era but Sammy hands down was a better live singer and performer as he held the crowd in his hand. Seeing videos of DLR in the latter VH years, with Wolfie, doing more schtick than singing was embarrassing. Either which way Eddie, Alex, Sammy, Mike and Dave left us with a lifetime of music for us to remember them by. RIP Eddie gone but never forgotten.

I was so pissed when DLR left in the mid eighties. I wouldn't listen to the Hagar albums until F.U.C.K. came out. I loved every song on it so I had to see what I was missing. When Hagar left after Balance I was even more pissed than I was When Roth left. 25 years on the world has lost VH forever and 8 months ago we lost the greatest guitar player of all time, and I'd give my left arm to have VH back no matter who was singing. R.I.P. Ed. Thank you for bearing your heart and soul every time you picked up a guitar. We will never forget you.

For me personally, this has been a top 3 album ever since it came out three decades ago. Has always been on "active roster" even in my busiest times. There is room for more than one on the top, but there is nothing more one can ask for.

Saw this tour, twice, as well as the Balance tour. Both were absolutely incredible and yes, Sammy sounds better live than on the studio cuts. It's like he's just at a different level when on stage. In my opinion Sammy so very underrated, not only a guitarist and vocalist but just an all 'round performer.

I think after all this time I get it. Happiness. I’ve never listened to an Eddie solo that didn’t make me instantly smile and dance they’re just pure bliss! RIP Brother! 🤘🏼❤️
