I'm still a fan of david lee roth, but there's no denying that sammy hagar created some of the best van halen music ever. What a powerful vocalist and the new music was great
Eddie and the boys at the top of their game here. A true measure of a great band is do they sound as good live as they on vinyl. And Sammy's vocals and Eddie's solo are incredible here. I was lucky enough to see VH with Roth and Hagar in concert.
i know im asking randomly but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my account password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
That applause was dubbed in for the video. Listen carefully and listen to how the applause ends. Sounds very fake. This is done a lot in concert videos. I hate it.
@@jamesweldon9726 An interviewer once asked him about the smiles playing... he basically said it's just how he feels, he can't fake having a good time, and playing is always a good time.
There is a more extreme example. When most bands have a member take an extended solo, it's the chance to get another beer or hit the head... but Eddie could take a 15 minute solo... and it was always the highlight of the concert. NO ONE missed it.
Awesome! There is nothing like watching a rock band that is so wonderfully syncopated and in full flight. A true antidote to much of the modern day, auto-tune, dance-based garbage that this current generation has to unfortunately endure.
I was front row, grass seats in TO...Our Lady Peace opened for them ....around 1995. One of the greatest performances of Van Halens career! Everyone was on top of their game that night....especially Eddie. One of the greatest moments of my life. Can believe how time flies. I was 21 and in love, now I'm 50, firmly believing i grew up in the greatest eras of music!!!
Love Sammy! He's fabulous! He has so much energy, even in his 70s now! Eddie's live guitar solos -- fantastic gifts to our ears. Hoping to catch a concert and see Sammy in action.
Standing Hampton was an entire album of Hagar success. Rock Candy a rock and roll staple of greatness, like Stranglehold and Teddy Nugent and so many others. I love him with Van Halen. We will always love Eddie. We grew up together!
I get sad....Eddie was talented wizard.....he is gone....SO SAD....I'm 53....I grew up with this legend.... amazing band.....excusee I have I have to go cry......love you EVH
Right Now....tears a flowing. Deep breaths. Eddie you are ICON! Never to be replaced...RIP fine sir....no doubt you left many broken hearts...thank you for sharing of your talents and being a true inspiration. 😥😢😥😢😥😢😥🎸
EVH you will live on in our hearts, you were and always will be a part of our lives !!!!! Thank you man, for sharing your talent with us ordinary people !!!!!!!
To Me anyways-, he isn't ONE OF the best/most innovative /influential guitarist since Hendrix...he's (flat-out) THEE BEST...SINCE HENDRIX, & BEYOND!!!!!
A MADD (mother's against drunk driving) presentation at my high school got me introduced to this song a long time ago and it's one of my go-tos. The story was about a son who (according to his father) had this last song playing in his headphones well after he had passed. RIP young man and continues healing for all.
Van Halen did not lose anything moving from David Lee Roth to Sammy Hagar! It was all brilliant! Thank you guys for the Library of music you all left us!
I saw Sammy solo many times before he joined Van Halen. He always brought his best to every show and I think helped Van Halen bring out their best too more than Dave ever could! No matter how great of a guitarist, singer, drummer whatever, the only thing that matters at the end of this life is did you submit your life to your creator, Yeshuah - Jesus! This life is only a testing ground for the next life and if you fail this test, there is no RIP! Creation screams that there is a Creator in case there is any doubt!
salvation is based on grace (you dont earn it) thru your faith in Christ - who He is (God) n what He did for You (paid your penalty on the Cross n Rose from the grave - Ressurection - defreating the power of sin and death) Ask Him in and search Him out in the Scriptures n Church - Receive Him. Be Born Again n Live Forever w Him in Heaven for Eternity!
This is what top quality music sounds like...one of the world's best Guitarists in same band as one of the world's best vocalist....what a treat to listen to these guys
Van Halen ( the 1990's line --- up or band mates or band members ) is/are : the incredible Alex Van Halen --- drums and percussion the amazing Michael Anthony --- bass guitar and background vocals the gifted Sam " Sammy " Hagar --- lead vocals, rhythm guitar and occasional lead guitar and the legendary and late Edward " Eddie " Van Halen --- Chief lead guitarist, background vocals and keyboards
Fukin love this song and the solo the amazing piano intro Eddie wrote is awesome. 4:18 Eddies solo was quite off here he messed with it.., i remember back in the day i was like wow a VH song where eddie does no tapping..he over did that...he was not the person to discover tapping on guitar...ppl were doing it in the 50s. there tuned low here
As a kid I worked at the Cumberland County Civic Center, Maine. I saw VH up close, general admission party, when they were kicking off. man, there is a hole in this world where Eddie was...
So glad that I was alive to have witnessed this awesome music from the incredible, one and only, original Edward Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Sammy Hagar, and Michael Anthony.
Don't nobody forget this era in Van Halen's history. It was one of the best. I wish they were still going strong. Great memories. Fan for life. Love you guys and much success in your future endeavors
Early VH was definitely good in its own right, but with Sammy they're a way better version of Van Halen musically! Current VH with Dave is shit in comparison! Eddie and Alex both fucked up letting him go, (and no he wasn't fired), then fucked up again with Gary, and again bring Dave back. From top to bottom, nice going guys!!
@Raven Reyes PTZ Are you watching the same video?? Its Sammy who drives this song. One of the greatest live singers of all time. And this is a hard song to sing live. And don't ever forget Sammy saved Van Halen after Diamond Dave left the band.
