A few thoughts as I watched this... Fitting that it's released on the anniversary of Eddie's passing. All these years later and the message of the video is still relevant. People talk shit about the Hagar era of Van Halen, but this is easily one of the band's best songs in my opinion. I don't understand why anyone would choose not to enjoy either version of the band. I'm grateful for all of it.
It is about personal preferences. I was a budding teen when my uncle handed me his cassette collection and one among them was The Balance Album. It was my first Van Halen experience and it was an immediate love affair for me. The whole album came as a brutal melody leaving my evolving puberty in awe! Sammy Hagar, Mark Anthony and the Van Halen brothers were loved and still are. Running home from school to learn the songs in my Aiwa Walkman was my daily affair then. I am 40 now and the memory is still vivid. Rock in Paradise Eddie ✊🏼
Like the post with Eddie holding the lil sign saying ,”I’ll always be with you just push play” Idk about anyone else but I like the original release better than the remastered editions… doesn’t seem like the guitar is as loud and prominent in the mix😢
Right Now Somebody Is Watch ing & Listening To This For The First Time. Right Now Somebody Is Watching & Listening To This After Many Years & Still Feels Like The First Time.
Powerful song, in many ways. My husband passed two months ago. My parents a few years back. Tomorrow is my first Thanksgiving alone. I can do this. I will do this. They would be proud. Love to all, Right Now we all need it ❤️
Right Now your Parents miss you, Right now I miss my parents Love you both Mom and Dad RIP God bless you both. God Bless Eddie Van Halen we all miss him.
No coincidence that this video and The Collection II are both released on the 3rd anniversary of EVH's passing. RIP Eddie, we miss you and thanks for the music and good times!
There are records...and then there are records...and then something comes along that stops you right in your track. This is one of those. It was then, and still is,.... epic.
@@musashielmaldito6848 What's your point? I was "there" in 1978 when their first album dropped. However, my best and favorite isn't Van Halen....they're like 5th on my list. So yeah. Sorry you were born in the wrong and worst generation ever. You seem bitter, dude. Namaste
Miss you Eddie, you inspired me to play guitar and are my hero, can’t believe it’s been 3 years already. Thank you for everything and I know you’re up in heaven rocking.
3 years ago today the greatest guitar player of all time passed. Such a terrible sad loss, but thank God we have all his music to listen to. 5150. RIP EVH. ❤ ❤🤘😎🤘
I’m a huge Van Halen fan who prefers the Roth era to Hagar, but I love and respect the latter to the letter. About time the Hagar era received the respect and recognition it deserves. The remastered songs sound fantastic. 👍👍
Ecclesiastes…the whole thing. But most importantly… there is nothing new under the sun. All that has been shall be again. Things done now and in the past will not be remembered and shall be repeated in the future The cycle never ends.
This song was playing on the radio when I came out of a coma17 years ago. Right Now could have been what triggered me back to conciousness. No matter what, it will always mean a lot to me.
I just watched this video for the first time since it came out and I’m actually blown away by how well it holds up and how good it still is. Nothing feels dated and everything still applies. And I still got the odd chill in places like I did before (“It’s cold where someone you love is” and “She is going on with her life”). Well done guys.
I never thought that the ultimate party band that was the soundtrack to my high school and college years would someday bring a tear to my eye while making me think about the big picture - until this video was released. Beautiful work by a band that has given us no small number of great moments.
Not to worry. After November 5th 2024 .. the nightmare ends and the people choose the 'right'' road to go down. How close did we come from a actual 'Civil War' erupting here in the USA ?? @1:58 .. "Only missed by a fraction" ~ 🏛 🗽 🌎 ⚖
One of the greatest songs/videos ever put together. Right Now, your parents miss you. 30 years ago my parents were both still alive. Right Now, they are both memories. .... ..... Tomorrow is not far away.
