In this lesson I demonstrate some of my favorite Eddie Van Halen licks and phrases. As well as, some essential must know innovative techniques we have come to know over the years. DaveNassie @charvelguitars @evhgear @jimdunlopusa
Thanks so much! This is the most helpful VH Licks and tricks video I've come across, and I go way back to the "In The Style of With Curt Mitchell" VHS and DVD series days.
Fantastic vid, Dave. I grew up fascinated by the Live w/o a Net performance and spent quite a bit of time learning it like you have. Did the same with Stevie Ray. With those two mixed, it gave me a beast in my hands. Over the past few years my own voice started coming out. I realized that trying to emulate someone just makes the listener want to hear the original player... so I was lucky to get my own voice-- but as you know it takes a lot of WORK. I've got the 'ear' and always thought learning theory would ruin it, but now that I'm older it just helped amazingly and I'm still growing. Love seeing vids like these that give EXACTLY what I would've wanted to see as a teenager... but we didn't have the Internet back then! Keep at it! Look forward to seeing more.
Great lesson. I can use all the help I can get. I’m a older novice and having a hard time with my confidence. I’ll pick up the guitar for a couple of days then get frustrated and not play it for weeks. I suck
Awesome video! Thx so much for the time you spend to make us, beginner guitarists learn unique things! I honestly think you are one of the most underrated guitarists. You deserve much more views, fans and even more listeners of your music. Keep it up!
Dear Dave! I found lots of ideas in this video. Thanks for your videos, they are helping a lot! Can you make video with some fast dorian licks based on pentatonic scale ? Thanks!
