Cooking tip: give the onions a good ten minutes on heat, then add the beef. This mellows the onions and brings out a natural sweet savory flavor that stewing won’t.
There's just nothing else like this on RU-vid. There's comedy, cooking, and then grand adventures with stunning footage. Oh, and beer and Netflix recommendations!
Yeah and he does it when he admits he’s scared of grizzlies in the dark. He’s consistently honest about things and creative and free. I agree… I admire you FF. I especially like your dry humor. Thank you for existing. ♥️
But he's not totally fearless at all! In this video itself you see 3 examples of very sensible fears (bears, steep route, avalanches). I'd say most people watch him exactly because he is not fearless and avoids the BS in many other 'totally fearless' channels.
I find that all of your dishes look delicious!! Your backup plan should be a cooking channel. I bought the ninja Foodi a few months ago and it’s like I suddenly know how to cook. Thanks for your many added meal options. At 64, I can mimic your meals but have to live vicariously thru you for the climbs. Your drone footage is totally awesome!!
The expression you made when you finally got to crack that drink open after you got back to the van is a feeling so deeply understood, yet so underrated.
Your ability to take breathtaking shots, editing, and overall videography seems to, somehow, only keep getting better. One of the best online experiences I've had has been to watch you for the last couple of years and see your progress and adventures! Thank you for all that you do, Foresty, and stay safe out there!
I going to go out on a limb here, but I think we see in Foresty Forest the spirit and strength of character that would have been typical of the early frontiersmen and settlers. This channel has rapidly become my favourite YT channel.
Thats the first time Ive seen you give a pic or list of what your packing for a"trip"(summit usually). Thats a good 5 sec add. Please(Canuck Hey?!)consider adding that again. It shows others what you obviously need/dont want to pack on such a trek. Canuckistan Thanksgiving to you FF on this weekend.
good man for choosing to not do glacier travel now, with crevasses hidden but not covered with enough snow to hold a man. I have done some glacier travel myself back in the day, but always roped up to another climber or two. Solo glacier travel makes me nervous. Glad to see you're giving a nod to safety. Spectacular mountains, the Monashees. Enjoy exploring them!
Good call on sending your drone footage to the FF Headquarters for further analysis. That mountain looks very tricky. You could send Moresty first next time.
Interesting hike /commentary with beautiful scenery, unsurpassed drone footage and your usual superlative critical thinking. No summet needed. Thank you and stay safe.
It is an honor to be living in such an age where I can feast my eyes on the beauty of another part of the world by just touching a few parts of a rectangular screen.
Ten years from now, when this channel is legendary, I will see this comment with '10 years ago' beside it and smile again. So glad to experience it right now.
Terrific video and those drone views are awesome. That Taco dinner sure looked mighty good too! Thank you for transporting me to places and views I will never be able to see if it wasn’t for you!! Thank you! Thank you!! Safe travels always!!!
Amazing video footage with ominous music in the right spots. Im glad you chose to stay safe & forfeit the peak. Fresh soft snow can be scary not knowing what's underneath.
He gets a full day without seeing one person while being outdoors; hell, I'd like to get 10 minutes. Beautiful and peaceful scenery. On another note, every time I see a van that resembles this one (which seems to be at least once a day), I think of Mr. Forest.
Just found your channel. Been slowly out running the snow since labor Day heading west from kannanaskis. I was at monashee last month for a week. I probably literally passed you and didn't know it. My battery died with an open sunroof at a trail head in monashee and during my 3 day wait for someone to drive by and boost me a fkin pine Martin came into my car at 3 am while I was sleeping. No joke lol opened the door and it took off.
I really liked the music in this episode. Great footage and editing. But equally echoing the numerous comments here about taking the safer routes for the solo travel to these peaks. Or wait until a better time or just pick a flatter summit. Be safe FF. We all want to continue enjoying your recipes and mountain treks. And the odd visit to Mountain Man Mike.
I appreciate that you pay attention as to where you fly your drone! One of those popular minivan dwellers flew his in the San Josef Bay area of Cape Scott PP and when I asked about how hard it was to get the permit, he blocked my comment and all of my future comments. :) Keep up the awesome work!
enjoy each and every video. If i was your grandmother i would be on pins and needles , I am not her, but i still get a little on edge. Then i think, He made it or i would not be watching you climbing . Love it all and the cooking show. Take care, and as every grandma would say. God bless you each and every day
