Making some chicken paprikash and checking out Mt. Lorne. / forestyforest Recipe: www.canadianli... Music from Artlist.io: Claudio Laucci - Still Modern Aquatic - Himalya Summit Map: drive.google.c...
We got STD jokes, Zoolander references, a nod to Hicks and Carlin, perfectly cooked chicken, a hellspawn guest appearance, and one heck of a lesson and demonstration of what contentment in life looks like. Bravo and thank you.
Something that may be taken for granted in your videos is the extra work you put in to take footage of yourself hiking from a distance. Unless you have a slew of cameras and just leave them behind and pick them upon the way back, that has to add quite a bit to your doubling back all the time. It doesn’t go unnoticed. Thanks for the awesome content.
I want to give a BIG THANKS to all the patreon supporters of Foresty Forest, which without you guys and girls we would not have as much content. Been watching for years now and he is one of he best out there. Forget the v an life stuff. He is real life. I'm on a fixed income now so can't support via patreaon, but appreciate you that do. Thanks!
fab name for a book! I think laziness is to blame for people not to make meals from scratch. Have got no time for people who survive on crappy fast food, saying "I can't afford vegetables....".
Douglas MacLean Yes! I actually wrote down some of his recipes to try in my crockpot… A cookbook with all the beautiful scenery he features would be awesome! I would definitely buy a copy 🥰
Your channel is my absolute happyplace at the moment. Love your stuff and also love your comment section. I think I have yet to see a bad comment on here. Greetings from Karlsruhe, Germany and stay safe!
Some meal prep, a good old fashioned hike, a sit-down chat about stuff that's been on all of our minds at one time or another lately, then back to the van for some dinner. This feels more real life than real life at the moment with everything that's going on in the world. Great content. Keep doing what you're doing, man.
Here in Thailand I can’t leave my house 24hrs a day except to a store for food in a 5 mile radius, huge fines if you don’t wear a mask outside, stopped all booze sales, parks, beaches pools all closed. This show helps a lot! Thank you.
I think is they stopped the alcohol sales in the US things really go bad, walking our dogs, RU-vid and alcohol is all we have. Hang in there and be safe, this will pass.
I think Canada has 4 people per square km while Thailand has 136 per square km. Except for the cities you pretty much have to go out of your way to find somebody 🙂. Greetings from Canada 🇨🇦 👋
Anon That’s true. I don’t live near a big city so everything’s pretty much a big open space for me. Went to Vancouver and was pretty much blown away. Beautiful place but not my thing.
Love his videos. So down to earth and original. It’s true what he said about other RU-vid channels nowadays and all being peppered with ads and promoting products.
We call my son Sasquatch, since he is the size of one. He tells me that he is out on a hike by himself, and as he is cresting a small rise on a trail, he sees a couple of baby foxes stumbling across the trail. He stopped and was in awe, as it was one of the cutest things he had ever seen. A moment later, the momma fox steps on the trail, ten feet away, looks at Squatch, and belts out that scream. He said he shrieked like a little girl, turned around and ran. Said the fact that less than 20 lbs of a little bag of fur can make a noise that sounds like the devil himself, is enough to make you shit yourself, if you don't know that they are capable of a blood curdling screech.
If you got a dog there would be no way you could leave it alone with the crock pot. Respect to you for not selling your soul to YT and the advertisers. A piece of land sounds good.
hes smart and defintely not broke..hes saving his money and living his life americans spent more than 50% of income on housing hes saving that and living lif thats a win win
From UK absolutely love this channel. i look forward to seeing the next blue dot by the name. Ironically its the only channel i let the Ads play. i don't know if it does any good but there you go.
When the secret gets out @Foresty forest your gonna have well over a million subscribers! Your style, personality and perspective is so needed in today's day and age!
I give 1st person view a big thumbs up. Shows the skills needed to cook and prep without making a mess. Don't know how you do it. I can't even cook a meal in my house kitchen without making a mess or spilling something. Also, probably would have burned down the van already if it was me using that stove.
Takes a knee on a snowy trail for a quick hilarious rant. Absolute legend. At this point I would watch this dude do commentary on the wind blowing the snow. Look no further people. This is the peak of youtube. Stay safe and keep em coming brotha!
Great to see the outdoors from my indoor social distancing location! Something to look forward to get back outdoors although may only be late summer ... Hell I can't moan about the neighbours after your last night's howling outside..😒
I visited a friend's family in northern Michigan in the '70s, and his mom made chicken paprikash, I had never tried it before, but I remember it was quite good served with rice. I haven't had it since then, so when I saw the title, I had to check it out. Now I can make it myself! Those drone views of the mountains were spectacular!👍
You eat better in that van with that slow cooker than I do at the best of times with a full kitchen. Keep happy, safe and well fed up north of the 60, it's absolutely stunning !
Love the FPV for the culinary portion. It's just like Iron Chef! As always, the camera work on the adventure portion is spot on. Great to get a glimpse of the great outdoors during the pandemic. Thanks!
You got a great heart Foresty F. Life’s not about big fancy houses and flashy cars it’s the simple life that’s the most meaningful and most fulfilling. Keep doing what u do it’s why we all love watching you show u don’t need much to be happy ❤️👌
Great installment Forest! Glad to hear that someone on YT still has integrity...thanks for that! You don't mention family much...do you keep in touch with them often? What do they think of your adventures?
You are quickly becoming one of my favorite youtubers. I feel like you've found a really good rhythm with the "cook-n-hike" videos. It seems like your personality and outlook are well suited to this lifestyle, and it's positively delightful following along with someone who's doing what makes them happy. Came for the van tours, stayed for the adventures.
Lol rewatching backlog waiting for music intro" foresty forest lives in a van " this dude is showing how to showcase how beautiful Canada 🇨🇦 is. MOUNTAIN MAN DOES IT AGAIN
Right now you are the top RU-vidr coming out of the Yukon lol and I am second :) Unless there is someone else out there the Yukon film community does not know about......
Thanks for re-uploading this video. Can you also please try to cook "adobong baboy"? it is a Filipino cuisine ☺️. Stay safe! btw. I like all your videos ☺️ - love from Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
For others they think you are the lonely wolf but for me you have a nice peaceful life. How many of us are lucky to have such a wonderful experience to enjoy the nature beauty. Stay safe brother. I hope one day I will be able and willing to explore like u.
Foresty! You’re such a chilled dude, it makes your videos so refreshing and relatable, they’re epic! When the notification sounds I get pumped! Keep it coming mate! Cheers from Queensland, Australia!
Just found the channel today and wanted to say thank you for posting, it's an amazing little piece of peace in all the insanity going on in the world today.
4:47 Zoolander reference? By the way, really enjoyed this one. The upbeat music, the sunshine, great footage, the successful cook...a happy, refreshing video in these miserable times.
Really enjoy your videos... For me, you are living the dream of most of us Canadian guys, living out of his van, enjoying nature, hiking and cooking in a slow cooker. Thanks for sharing your life!!!
My wife and I watch your channel as soon as the videos release. We both enjoy it very much. We would comment more often but we always watch your channel on our TV. Thanks for the great videos.
Given a choice, I prefer the old fashioned third person point of view. Less bouncing around. However, inserting an occasional first person clip could work nicely
Absolutely fantastic content! It's so clear that you do what you do cuz you love it. Full stop. It really shows... I hope some parents have their kids watching your channel cuz you're a great role model ☺️
i live in switzerland. it sucks right now, seeing all the beautiful mountains in the distance and not being able to go to them. thank you for taking me on your hike, i really enjoyed it! stay up there as long as you can and stay save
I really enjoyed the video, food, and the adventure. Your humor is hilarious! Keep on rocking it. Your life is something I envy everyday on my 9-5. Hoping to quit one day soon, and live a life similar to yours...... but with less snow! You Canadians are tough. That meal looks awesome too. I'm going to try that one out myself. Thanks for sharing! Stay safe.
I have to say that I love the fact that you are making real meals in a crock pot in a van. I mostly make canned soup and grilled cheese sandwiches (which I think are high cuisine). I do have a small crock pot, and you are inspiring me to give it a try.
You have brought a smile to my face🙂 not being able to see my daughter on Easter has made my day very unpleasant. But watching your video as always has made me feel happier. Love the cooking and your van life just in general. Stay safe brother Ben from Queensland Australia
Sonja Orleans .....it’s because of the C-Virus. Need to keep your distance. Don’t want to get your grand parents sick. Or be rushing them to a full ER to watch them sit and struggle to breath.
Honestly you're one of my favourite youtubers at the minute. Your videos are so down to earth and I appreciate your honesty and good humour throughout. Your cinematic editing is exceptional too, you've a real talent. Your videos are especially calming during these unsettling times. Stay safe out there and keep up the great work
This video was super from beginning to end, that lovely food preparation in your masterpiece of a Travel Cabin, your cycle ride and hike with beautiful views and your delicious meal to reward you for your energy expended outside. There has never been a compact set up that has the exceptional ergonomics as you've designed in, it's outstanding.
Pov cooking is cool, I guess it depends on the dish your making. Also that drone shot up to the summit was insane! Crazy your drone can go that high, that far, and have such amazing quality
