Love this record. Poetic Champions Compose is a perfect record. Thank you Van Morrison, love you, for having thought of me in quite a few of your great songs way before Poetic Champions Compose. You are so important to me. Oscar
I just stare at him and marvel that one being has created so much transcendental beauty over 70 years. I feel there is an all powerful, loving God of pure goodness when I hear his music.
He's got so much going on in his head that he seems uncomfortable to sit in his own skin. This album still sounds amazing today. Great interview, thanks for uploading.
When I was a little boy of 2 years of age I wanted to be able to sing like Van Morison, now that I have grown up it is my dream to sing with Van on stage, I appeared with Van and the Chieftan's on stage many years ago
One of my favorite albums by Ivan and the first of his that I heard. In fact the 10 year period from Common One to Enlightenment is incredible. The guy is so fucking good.
"Van, are you a singer?" "No not really." "Is your hair thinning?" "No." "Is you're name Van?" "Nope." "You're just disagreeing with everything now." "No I'm not" 😁
And you, Van Morrison, you do so well writing, yes that, is JUST what you do, they are beautifully Simple. ..Thiese are beautifully worded simple Songs and Album, supported by lovely sounds and flow. Thank you Woolhall for putting this on YOU Tube
Thank you very much!!! The interviewer was able to get through to Ivan how much his music is appreciated and that seemed to get us to where Ivan could express what he was conveying in his music. Loved it all!
PHANTASTIC, thx Woolhall for this ... this ,.....is genious..a real van morrison... I love to Listen to his Statements..... im realy in love with this musican ❤..Millionen of 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 LG from Düsseldorf, Germany
Thanks Wooly that was a good little interview, especially as it got on. Van had some important things to say about having musical roots and how the industry has had such a negative influence or dare I say, interference with the art of music! The music pieces enjoyable too!
Very talented and beyond that he is a musicologist...despises pop music/pop art although his recordings are crystal clear in sound...some fancy flourishing
Ta woolhall inspring mystic interview... whew I can smell fire opps got caught on your upload burnt the fish and chips in the oven. Intense simple interview. Ta Van for the songs 🌈💫
Hi , not been to any skiffle gigs , I prefer the more classic soulful style of Van so I’ll wait until he’s got this out of his system ( again) I mean it’s ok but not really my thing , and you ? X
@@woolhall I'm not as into that as other of Van's stuff, but I went to Milton Keynes last night and it's one of the best, most enjoyable gigs of Van's I've been to, and that's after 30 years of following him. It seemed like he and band were really "'into" the music. Green Rocky Road was sublime. I'm waiting on him to produce yet another career highlight and reflective magnus opus in the next 3 years. Godspeed!
@@woolhall Yep, it was more the actual love thing. The songs are still not my favorite, but Van made them his own, especially live. It was the "liveness" of the show. Van seems enthused of late when I've seen him and I'm trying to make sure I take every opportunity to see my favorite singer songwriter of all time whenever he's in town.
