Oh yea, never know what’s gonna happen. He is a one of a kind. One of my favorites vocalists. As a Song writer Not too many better. Went to many of his shows in San Francisco Bay Area. Some iconic shows in very small venues. Which can become very interesting. He is very temperamental and does not appreciate shouts of Brown eyed Girl. He cussed the hell out of a guy one who was on a floor table. Great American Music Hall. It was classic Van. F u and get the f out shut f up and they took the guy out. Patrons and workers. Out the door he and Van never came back out. A classic night to remember.

People paid to listen and watch him perform songs they know and love.. this isn't a bar where he happens to be playing, they didn't just drop in by chance. These are loyal, paying fans who want to hear the original melodies that they fell in love listening to, got married to, made love to.. not the artist's overworked "I'm bored with this" interpretation which happens to be colored by whatever mind alerting substance that they provided according to his contractual rider lol... damn man, give the people what they want! 😄

Jason Lamoureux Dylan does this too - there is a saying I came across lately - “No-one ruins a good Bob Dylan song like Bob Dylan”. 😂. Saw a thing on here where Dylan is playing the 10 years anniversary celebration of the David Leterman show. He is doing Like a Rolling Stone. He has a stellar back up band, right? Steve Vai on guitar.... some big country singers in backing vocals. His vocal on that performance is so shocking it’s actually brilliant 😂😂. Genius 👏 Best regards friend :))))))

Agreed. I appreciate a live performance varying from the studio recording, but this is a choppy mess. It’s okay to love the song but not this performance.

It's too bad you think that way, cuz he did it that way just to impress you. He really gives a shit what you think. If you had a half a brain cell you'd realize that artists sing the same things at hundreds of shows when touring, and it gets boring. So they will try things differently and experiment to slice it up
