I pray I truly can ! My baby is graduating soon and I need to find myself so badly my life has been about everyone but me :-( turning 50 the 3rd of may is a real eye opener and my babies have there own lives and relationships so I need this ! I’ve been looking for remote work on the side besides idk I pray I get to meet up with you beautiful souls one day ! Safe travels ladies and may you find everything your dream of
I love these meet-ups and van tours. They encourage me. The women are all so friendly and helpful. I like that they tell us the brand name of all the products they use and like. What is the Google tracking they are talking about?
People say it’s safer to sleep an get in an out on the passenger side because if you’re parked in town you are using the curb side instead of the street side. Love your videos. Thank you 🙏🏼 for sharing.
I’ll probably rarely be camped in town, but I agree I’d like to switch it around. But for now, I need easy access to the passenger side middle seat for my grandson’s car seat. His mom wants it there so Gramona puts it there. 💚
I like having that 40% 3rd row seat up, too. I'd leave it that way all the time, but most everyone I carry as a passenger has mobility limitations, so I've got the 2nd row passenger seat up instead. I sent a join request to the Facebook group. Heading to the FL meetup for the day on Saturday. See ya down the road!
Ive been car camping for ages but you can ALWAYS learn.. the shelf in the cooler idea is a game changer!! isobutane isnt propane OR butane. Isobutane can be $$ and difficult to find but you can get an adapter to use a 1lb propane bottle, its less expensive, burns hotter so you use less fuel, down side is the bottles are bigger.. I have that hand warmer, we were on a trip and I was digging through my bag and came across the warmer, I switched it on and handed it to my then 12yo granddaughter to hold... it started doing what it does and she said "Pop its getting hot" I asked her what she did to it, it shouldnt get hot, I hope it doesnt EXPLODE...my prank almost backfired because she started putting the window down to toss it!! lol... Gdaughter 1..pop 0.. most usb things use 2 or 3 basic plugs, the majority of mine, phones, fans, lamps, hand warmer etc can all charge off the same cable.. I have some health isses and go on trips so I also share my location with my kids.. not long ago I wet with my daughter on a spur of the moment trip to NC, I got a call early the next day from my son.... uuuuhhh whatcha doin pop???
She mentioned she heats her cans of food of the jetboil thingy. I had my doubts so I googled this: Canned food should not be cooked in the can, as doing so can release harmful chemicals from the can and plastic lining into the food. Cans made of tin, aluminum, steel, and other metals can release toxins such as chromium and nickel when heated.
Hello! My 2020 Pacifica Limited is being delivered today and I will be setting it up to travel like you are doing. I actually live in Kingsland, just north of Jacksonville. We may be passing each other one day!

Where do I go to find van meet-ups? I've been living full time in my van for 2 years and haven't been able to connect with other van life women like these you interview. I love vanlife, but I can't seem to find my tribe.

I loved this interview! Ramona, your spirit & energy are so encouraging! I, too have kids & grandkids in 3 different states here in the continental US and I've been dreaming & planning to do exactly what you're doing. I'm a camper and used to have an RV-Trailer, but this will be the first time for me solo. Thank you for your information & wisdom!

I get in on the passenger side, and I have my bed on the passenger side, because the driver side faces traffic when you're parked on the side of the road and getting in and out, or sleeping on that side, can be dangerous.
@@ButterflyTracks That makes sense. I primarily urban camp so sometimes I'm parked on residential streets or in metered parking spaces along the sidewalk.
Sorry…no clue. Someone gave me mine. Then I gifted them forward. I got frustrated trying to put them up by myself. ALTHOUGH, I see plenty of the other ladies whip them in like pros. 😏🦋
You can use peppermint oil mixed with a little water and spray it around your car ..will keep the mice away..and do you have a extension cord ...for when your able to plug in...maybe a retractable one to save on space if you don't have one...nice little set up...what more does one need 👍
LOL…there will probably never be any “build” happening with me. I’m just looking for affordable (for my budget) comfort while camping and traveling in a way that can be quickly stored away. I enjoy the build videos as well. Just not my thang.
The only ones I’ve been to so far are the November in Ocala. The December 100 vans in Deland and this one back in Ocala in December. In November I was in a Hyundai Tucson.
Oh ok, I remember you from Deland. I can’t believe you have only camped three times. You have got a lot , figured out. Enjoyed your tour. You did a great job!😊

Little handy too I’ve learned for mice getting inside your van or rig is getting a net fill it with moth balls and hang it down hanging under the hood !

@@ButterflyTracks Thank you for getting back to me so fast. 🙏🏻 I will have to fire up my old Facebook account (and see if it’s still there!) so I can find you gals! 🙏🏻❤️
That cooler is dangerous to you unless you have it wedged in place on the floor, if you put it in the front seat. Bet your insurance agent has a pearl clasping moment if they ever see this.
Get the Green block’s that are made to keep the mouse out of your camper you can get them at Walmart or most stores just put them where pets can not get them.
You’re right. I’m not full time now. I was full time in an RV for a year, but decided that wasn’t for me. And health issues kept me home for a couple of years. Now I’m antsy and want to get back to my travels. I’ve been to 3 camp outs since November. Have two more planned camp outs coming up soon. AND I’m planning trip to Texas to visit with family and bring kids back with me. Then hoping to go to Maine in July and Seattle in September. This is an experimental year before I’d decide how much of a home base so I need. I’m a retired teacher. My budge is tight . BUT I AM HAVING A BLAST
