Our most recent conversion of this MWB VW Crafter might just be our best yet! It has lots of unique features that we hadn't installed before and we fitted lots into this small space. It can sleep and belt 4 people and the additional belted seat can also be removed easily if not in use. This makes the van ideal for a family with older children who may not join for every trip or for when you want to take the grandkids away from time to time.
KEY FEATURES & APPLIANCES
- We installed a fixed bed and maximised the space by adding flares to allow for a width ways bed of 190cm
- There is another double bed in the poptop. We created a hidden hatch using the ceiling slats so that from the main living space you cannot tell the hatch is there
- There are 4 belted seats, 3 in the cab and a folding seat in the box seat by the sliding door. This seat can be easily removed when not in use allowing the box seat to be used for storage
-There is a full kitchen with induction hob, air fryer and domestic sized sink
-A big electrical set up enables all the cooking to be powered from electric, even when off grid with 460AHr Lithium battery, 2 DCDC chargers and 360w flexible solar panel on the poptop.
- A compact shower room with removable eco Nature's head toilet
- Awnings are tricky to add to Crafters with poptops as the usual fixing points are covered but we figured out a simple method to overcome this.
