Oh to be young again and be able to sleep on a futon mattress without waking up feeling like a cripple. Hmm maybe my waterbed years were a contributing factor. Love the people you meet in your travels

My van is a little too cozy I think. We all loooooovvvveee being inside of it. Especially parked on the beach eating pizza or stargazing while in bed with the back doors open. We have a rig for showers inside and toilet with a mini kitchen, and of course an outside barbeque. We just loooove the van. I have Covid right now, and the coziest place to be is in the van in the forest. 💜

We van camp with our 1997 gmc high top. Did a semi-gut, leaving whatever was helpful, added a front seat swivel, a roof vent. I have found a simple tarp solution for an awning and we have a Clam Escape 11x11 pop up yurt-ish thing. It all works great for our vacations, not giving up our house, too many tools to ever want to part with. Everything for camping is of modular design, when not camping the van is a empty box.

George this is so awesome! I love that you've found a way to make the van work for when you're on vacation and also when you're not. Sounds like the best of both worlds. Plus, you don't need much to explore the great outdoors!!! We're currently building out a new tiny home on wheels in a 2019 ProMaster. This will be our full time living situation so we're putting lots of thought and care into the design and build. We want to make a beautiful home! Nice build! What are those brackets/legs/braces that go from your roof-edge rain gutters to above the high top, to hold your solar panels? Where did you get those? Thanks!

What considerations are given to objects moving during a moving accident? A can of soup flying through the sir at 20 mph would hurt like hell.

oh heck yeah!!!! Everything in a van really should be strapped down/drilled into the walls. You really don't want anything out that could become a hazard. Plus it's a good idea to put up a barrier behind the driver so if something were to fly it would it that wall and not their head.

Whoever it is that keeps telling new RU-vidrs they need music running ALL THE WAY through their videos isn't doing anyone a favor. It's annoying and frustrating to try to watch a video and the music keeps going while people are talking. It's not necessary. It does not improve the quality of the video. It's not what makes people subscribe. Please... Just stop. [ *closes tab 1/4 of the way through the video and proceeds to watch another Chevy Express High Top video that is less annoying* ]
