Hey everyone! So thankful to all of your for the kind words and incredible engagement on this build. We will be starting off the build series on Wednesday (November 11th)!
That's one stylish, clean, minimalist looking vans I've seen on RU-vid The workmanship is second to none. Love the moss wall... Top job well done Also hi from Australia 🇦🇺🇦🇺
I love the open space and hidden shower feature. I'm planning to implement this in my future build. The only thing will change is the toilet where I will put it near the door where the hidden shower is.
This looks gorgeous. I've seen a similar shower, but instead of hooks for the curtain, it's magnetic. They also put megnets around the fan, so after showering, they place it under the fan and the curtain is quickly dry.
The hidden shower is the way to go. I would just have it larger at the top than at the bottom. This would improve the typical arms movements during shower. I would go for 35x35" at the top and 25x25 at the top. Or something like that.
I don't like the settings for the toilet, but I do love the shower settings! I guess I am just too disgusted of toilets to have them placed anywhere near the food/sleeping/seating arrangements. Can you make a separate room for the toilet altogether within this van house layout itself? Otherwise this layout is perfect and the smart shower settings are definitely eye catching!
It's a good thing you don't offer all your different vans for purchase at once, cuz it would be impossible to choose. All your designs are so well thought out to such detail, and elegance. You both are true artists.
Great idea for the shower, but if the walls were made of a solid material, this shower would be more water proof and less likely to leak over the long run and it isn't a folding shower, which gives you a feel for a spacious, residential shower. This camper van would be great for some people, but it lacks a multi purpose functionality, including enough space for me...
Hi just curious? I like the idea of the shower! Wanna ask if the shower curtain and the little box thingy gets stinky when you close it when it’s wet? Ty
I love the shower. As I've been designing my own van in my head, I thought of exactly that design. Except I would put it someone else besides right in the doorway. And I'm not a fan of the super dark look. If I want to go out exploring the world, I'd want to see the world through airy windows and not be in a cave. Otherwise, nice design.
Hey, hi, can you guys do a build on my new upcoming 2021 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 170”? And if you do, how much will it cost to put wood paneling on walls and ceiling, water proof wood flooring and a stationery or dedicated queen size bed frame. That’s it. Total cost with included labor and materials.
@@missmuertamedia2114 this is how I designed mine. This video shows ways NOT to do it correctly. Why build a slide-out shower pan when you already have on built into the floor? Second storing the show curtain like showing in the OP video here is a great way to have mold growing in your van. Your video where the curtain hangs allows it to dry and does not hide away any mold growing inside the cabinet.
@@Gantzz321 hey, you're sounding a little jelly over there. Maybe Scarlett wants the shower pan with the high sidewalls to direct excessive water, from taking a shower, to direct drain. I don't care how water resistant, water tight, or water proof my floors are. That doesn't mean I want extra water going everywhere. The pan keeps excessive water self-contained, which is a great idea. And maybe she let the shower curtain dry before showing us where it's stored. I know it's ok with you, but I don't want a video showing curtains drying just to prove to us they are dry before storing. Just saying. And maybe for the video, they filmed her pushing the pan back in, without even using it in that instance, just to get the shot and edit it in, later. Scarlett was obviously just demo-ing the use of the shower and where their storage area is for the curtain. Only the uninformed wouldn't know about the threat of mold and mildew growing without proper ventilation. Seth and Scarlett don't look uninformed, to me.
I love this concept for the shower! I think it's important to have a pan because you're washing yourself and all the bacteria will be on the floor. Unless you have a antibacterial spray solution and mop to clean and dry the floor after each shower. Instead of storing the curtain back in the pan, I'd want to opt for the shower curtain to be versatile. Maybe a curtain to separate the cabin from the main area? I'd just want it to air out and dry so the curtain isn't growing any mold. Other than that I love this idea!
@@Gantzz321 Because a shower pan prevents extra spillage. Who wants to mop their entire floor after every shower? Also anyone with common sense would obviously dry out their shower curtain and shower pan to prevent mold from growing bro, wtf? This was obviously just a demonstration of how one would use the shower.
The shower, toilet and full sized bed with the built in recessed sold me. Don’t hate me but this is the van I’m going to be building. This is exactly the innovation I’ve been looking for! Love the content!
This van customization is absolutely incredible. The design choices, as well as the components used, make this 2nd to none. The best I’ve ever seen. Bravo.
Here's an idea for your shower. Since most people's shape is triangular from shoulders to feet and you need extra room for your arms while washing the upper torso and to bend over to wash your lower legs and feet - make the upper shower curtain holder larger. You can use different size tubing so one side just slides out from the other. You can add little ball stoppers like they use on canes to adjust length. Add extra material and by cutting triangular sections out at the bottom and sewn together you can have a much roomier, tapered, shower curtain. Heavier people will like it too. ------- Send me a case of Pepsi if you use the idea. Applies to anyone who uses my ideas.
LOVE!!! I have been fighting with how to keep an open layout, while still having a shower. This whole look is what I have been dreaming of in a home and van. Reminds me of a modern mountain style home turned into van, and I am just in love. You guys do such amazing work!
remember it had drain holes on the area of the shower & the pan that pulled out had a drain that lined up with the one on the floor of the van it drains out of van
This one is by far the most beautiful van conversion without taking so much space for the shower and toilet! Great great great! So stylish and modern! Great job guys!❤️❤️
I've watched countless videos and seen tons of pinterest posts about people's "incredible" van builds and this is one of the few that honestly had something new to bring to the game. That slide out shower pan is brilliant and something i'll be adding a version of to my van. My van I first did in 2017 in 4 weeks. Now that i'm changing things up again thanks to covid i'm going to re do things and I truly love this idea as having a shower in a 2500/144" van would be amazing without losing all that valuable space which is huge when traveling 1000's of miles. I covered 14k miles on the road and 6k in the air in 104 days and know that if you don't utilize every inch you will regret it.
nice concept. one small idea for this kind of ceilling, make it suitable for movable hooks inbetween the cladding, so u get tons of more options for storage/decoraction
Very interesting style and aesthetic. My main concern is with the shower and drain. Presumably the curtains must be entirely dry before stowing and how much of the floor is waterproof? Also, are the solar panels fixed flat or can they be adjusted to face the sun for higher efficiency? Flat panels are very inefficient
Nearly all van solar panels are fixed flat, not sure what you consider “very inefficient” but flat works totally fine and tilting is almost never worth the added complexity.
Love your modern approach, the tech and style are fantastic. Love to see a diesel Springer version of your modern architecture, which would be my dream Van
I truly love this design! I have to ask though; has the shower design lead to water damage to the front seats or anywhere nearby? I’m sure you do what you can to avoid it, but it seems like a possibility
I am sure you will have people queuing up to buy this van, and other potential purchasers will be chasing you for future bespoke builds . You should be really really really proud of your achievements. Your van tour presentation was so professional. Stay safe cheers from Australia. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺❤️
You guys have the most beautiful and innovative designs in your builds! From the drain and the hidden shower... and I love the tile to wood transition on the floor and especially the tile and moss backsplash!
This is my favorite van layout I've seen yet. Faux moss and the scattered hex tiles are a bit too bold for me, but the design and layout in general looks so nice and open.
