Very cool, I have a beardie and was wondering how it would be possible to do this. Also assuming its better to live somewhere south/warmer? I'm sure your bearded dragon is much happier now and gets lots of outside time! Thanks for sharing this

I’m the vid you mentioned you used cedar as the cage material. Cedar is extremely dangerous for reptiles and small animals, it will cause respiratory issues and they can die if left untreated. It’s good she didn’t live in there for long

@@neena9202 Hi Neena! Sorry, it took so long to reply to this! Yes, living in a warmer climate is definitely a plus. We've also spent a full winter in freezing temperatures with Hagrid, but we were able to plug into shore power and provide consistent heat for Hagrid. When it's cold at night, Hagrid also has a heating pad on a low setting.

I'm trying to do the same with my German giant beardie w my gf, thankfully he's about as calm as they get. even stands for a leash!

We are going to be traveling cross country with our two dogs and bearded dragon ! I’m so excited. Seeing this video has really given me the extra push to not be ashamed of bringing him (not that I was anyways but you know 😜 )

@@happyvagabonds we ended up traveling from Michigan to Florida with them and it went great! We visited Steinhatchee,FL. Next trip I’m hoping we can go a little further.

Great question! We have a gym membership to Planet Fitness and that's where we take most of our showers. Due to COVID-19, we've been using truck stop showers. We also have a bag shower if we need it. :)

Thank you so much, Anna! 😄 We recorded this a long time ago, and didn't explain Hagrid's new set up at the time. Hagrid stopped living in her tank soon after we moved into the van. We clip her heat lamp and UVB lamp in the van for her to bask in. She is able to run around and get lots of exercise. And she spends time outside in the sunshine, too! ☀️She hasn't lived in her tank in over a year and a half!

It's enamel paint that's partly mixed with acetone. Yes it was my first time painting a car. Thanks!

We still have the same fridge in the van. It works great! But we will buy a bigger one for the bus when we get to that point. ☺️

It actually was a school bus, then once it retired, it was used by an industrial company to haul workers.

@@happyvagabonds I'm guessing that the industrial company must've painted the bus white and replaced the windows & seats as I just saw on one of your Instagram photos.

Not really...cedar is bad for reptiles.

@@pamflowers8364 I left a comment for them, but no reply yet. I'm really hoping they see it. Cedar is toxic for them...very sad to see it stuck up in there. If they can't do better than this for it they should rehome to better conditions.
