Vance, Walz prepare for US vice presidential debate

In the U.S. election, vice presidential candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz meet Tuesday for their first, and only, debate. VOA Correspondent Scott Stearns looks at what to expect when the candidates meet in New York.

This, the first question of the Presidential debate: _“Would you approve a preemptive strike on Iran?”_ Are you f*ing joking me !!! 🤬 With every bomb dropped, a child is murdered. This is unforgiveable. These media personalities are living in ivory towers. They live in the Capitol. “Welcome...! Welcome...! Tributes, we welcome you. We salute your courage and your sacrifice... and we wish you... a Happy Hunger Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor...” Right off the bat, instead of giving federal land to the oligarchy for development and ownership, how about using eminent domain to seize housing from Wall Street equity firms? Vance was slick. I was impressed but he lied, lied, lied. Vance repeatedly called for a national abortion ban. Tonight he said he did not. Walz missed the opportunity to go after Vance on healthcare, “Trump saving the ACA” and on Trump’s Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. Walz was OK, not great. There was so much to go after Trump on but he did not. He was too agreeable with Vance. Based on the debate only, Vance won the debate. It doesn’t mean what he said was truthful, however. As an exercise in rhetoric, Vance won.

Because it's not true. Costs went up because of Covid and Trump's tax cuts and tariffs. What is historic is that Biden was able to bring down inflation without entering a recession. That one happened once before in US history.

Nope... none ever said that Mcd's had no record. He said that she didn't put it on her resume when she applied for a job as a lawyer.... would you have? I certainly didn't include my fast food jobs when I applied for my first job after grad school. But, of course, Trump and his supporters wouldn't have any conception of that situation.
