I love the format of the video! Great information and wonderful images! Thanks for sharing! I do hope you make more videos around and about the Pacific Northwest! I hope to eventually move to SW Washington. It's all so beautiful! 😍
Going to the island in a little while, and looking forward to seeing the Archaeology of the Island. however there is one drawback the cost of hotels. I gather that hotels are incredibly expensive. $300 per night. That's in Nanaimo. You would expect to pay that in London UK. Not a town in Canada.
Thanks for visiting the Island. Glad you had a wonderful time here. It’s a unique, beautiful place for sure. And there’s so much more outside of the areas you visited. For future visits, if you ever have to ask directions: Pronunciations: Lake Cowichan = Lake COW-ih-chin. Ucluelet = Yoo-CLUE-let. Wickaninnish = WICK-an-INN-ish. Port Alberni is on an ocean inlet, not a lake. It’s Sproat Lake, not Lake Sproat. Salt Spring Island, not Salt Springs. Thanks again for visiting!
Being from the island for those that don’t mind camping Vancouver island has 1 St class camp sites cheap along with wilderness sites , so if your into tenting or have a camper van no problem
Lovely video but please ask somebody how to pronounce the different place names such as cowichan Lake/Bay ab Nd uculet, Wickaninnish Inn. You , unfortunately missed Parksville which has the most amazing beach and park.
Coming from Queensland Australia we love exploring places in their cooler months, we will be coming to Vancouver in mid March so could you please tell me is Vancouver island worth visiting at that time?
March isn't a popular time to visit, but may be worth considering if you're ok with overcast or rainy weather. Note that while Vancouver island has pretty moderate temperatures, if you intend to visit Tofino you may encounter snow on the drive. Enjoy your time in Canada!
Definitely go to Banff - September is the perfect time of year too! Lake O'Hara lodge was an incredible experience where I had endless private hikes around beautiful lakes. The larches turn a golden color that time of year too. I also recommend stopping in the Okanagan valley if you want to make for a road trip between Vancouver and Calgary. Good luck!
Agreed - I visited the Okanagon a number of years ago on my way to Banff. It's a beautiful lake and famous for it's ice wines. For those just south also consider visiting Lake Chelan.
