You need to visit degerfors!! A small working-class town with about 10,000 inhabitants located in eastern värmland that somehow has a club in the first division. Probably most known for raising players and managers such as Ola Toivonen, Sven Göran Eriksson, Ralf Edström… the list goes on. They are fierce rivals with Örebro SK who are currently sitting in the second division. The town is home to an ironworks, ”Degerfors Järnverk” hence why they are called ”Bruket” (the mill) The town is also known for being just about the football and not anything else. The towns municipitality is also one of Swedens most poorest hence it’s such a spectacle having this good of a team. It’s just so much more than a game of football here. I almost wrote a whole book there😂

Allsvenskan is my favourite league because of the supporter culture. Not being for an advertisement email back in 2021, perhaps I never would’ve travelled to Göteborg. That’s where it all started and the swedes really appreciated my content so I kept coming back. Since I went to IFK Göteborg first, they are my initial love, the club’s media treated me exceptionally (until they were allowed to), got a lot of love from the supporters so they are the closest to my heart. But I really like to visit all the teams and supporters appreciate it since I’m factual & neutral in my analysis

Fun fact: for hundreds of years there was a lot of inbreeding going on in Boras and genes that made people cross eyed and buck teethed became very common in the area. This is why people from Boras still to this day have a very distinct appearance.
