The experience was ok when we travelled from Blore to Mantralayam buy vande Bharat CC . While returning we travelled by the ECC service, definitely better than any domestic flight. The catering service is not upto the mark, in respect of both taste and quality. Almost all of among the twelve of us suffered from food poisoning like symptoms from three days. Lot remains to be improved in this train. The catering service is dismal and needs attention by the he authorities, the IRCTC.
The worst journey this would be, the seats are extremely congested. This is as good as shivamogga jan shatabdi which starts at 3pm approx n reach Shivamogga at 9.30 pm. They take total 1500(approx) and return it in form of packed foods , juices n icecreams. Food is anyways better in indian railways these days so the same food is given here nothing exceptional or wowish. From bangalore to kalburgi timeline is 2.40pm to 11.30 pm. He spends 2 hrs extra on track by stopping at every crossinngs and stops at every small stations like shabad wadi etc . The speedometer shows 127 125 kms for 4 5 times. But typically runs on average speed of 70kmph. Just cos you guys made some fancy stuffs on train dosent mean things improved. Mainly the timings is toooooo long in that congested seats. The 3seater side of chair(near walking area) handle dosent gets folded which makes you feel you are sitting in some remand room like sanjay dutt. Either make the journey shot buy increasing speed or either deconjest the seat and make it 4 seats per line. Utter waste.. better is book AC sleeper and go peacefully sleeping. By spending proper time in office on day of journey RIP vande bharat
