Vanderhall is one of the cooler car companies lately. They’re very innovative.

I recently saw a Vanderhall on the highway for about 3 seconds. Looks amazing!

Wrap or paint that Santarosa in black and copper with some goggles, and you have now officially reached Steampunk godliness. Stack a faux furnace with a smokestack, and you win the Cosplay Award of the Year. I'm still not a fan of 3-wheelers, but you could always "Tron" this out via LEDs and call it a day.

It's amazing, I love it!! I would get one in the US, because I don't understand, here in Europe its on sale for 72.000,- and that's completely marketing fail.

3 wheelers and electrification are a match made in heaven. Lower weight and better aerodynamics benefit an ev and a low center of gravity benefits a 3 wheeler

Nice aesthetic improvement from the earlier Edison. I've never been crazy about the egg crate grille of the Venice and Carmel, so this is a nice change. I also lamented the lack of a manual trans in the gas versions, but now that they're electric, the point is moot. This is a very cool machine. As for the icon under the hazard switch, I'm guessing that's a GPS feature of some sort. It's looks like a latitude/longitude globe surrounded by satellites.

I'm really hoping Vanderhall gets this one off the ground. Does it have DC fast charging? NACS or CCS? What's the L2 charging speed and is it J-1772 or NACS? When is it going into production?

You also forgot the base model does not come with fog, lights or windshield wipers do you have to step up to the GT to get that. Also, I forgot to mention reclining seats. Wow I can’t believe that’s an option now.

I hope they made the roof higher and the body wider. Looks like it. Test drove a gas version and just couldn't do it. Just way too tight.

The Santarosa looks to be built on the Carmel chassis. The Carmel is slightly wider than the Venice. The Carmel has doors, Venice does not. Which did you drive?
@MrPopmuzc
@MrPopmuzc Год назад
I test drove the Carmel. I ended up renting a Slingshot. Way more room. Got caught in the rain and realized i did not like getting soaked and i needed a fully covered vehicle. In steps the Santarosa....time will tell. I hope the owner listens to the feedback of potential owners. He is losing so many sales with what feedback he ignores.

@@MrPopmuzc - Yeah, it's doubtful the chassis will change much, which is kinda funny. Founder Steve Hall is a big guy but he didn't want the three-wheeler to look like a flounder rolling down the road... wide in the middle, narrow at the ends. The video of he and Jay Leno squeezed into a Venice shows how tight they can be. Nonetheless, the only real drawback to sales is simply price. It's not bad for a boutique vehicle, but $40K gets pretty steep.

??? Do you know the weight balance between front and rear? Has any of these passed a moose test [gas or EV]? Given the specs I think it might? Surprised that they do not suggest a price for anything. It is probable that the top end model weighing about 1800 -1900 lbs with the large battery and people that even with the lack of aerodynamics could get a 300 mile range with 48 kWh pack and usable 42kWh. But consider cold weather losses and not knowing battery management system or chemistry there are a lot of possible detractors to real world range. Too bad it has only room for passengers. Very limited use case in the market. There is a new flashing hazard light system that has a specific pulse to warn assisted driving systems to slow down. But you should really ask them.

I own an 2021 vanderhall venice blackjack. 1.4L GM turbo motor. Total weight for it is just shy of 1500lbs. Weight distribution is 75/25. 75 in the front. 25 in the rear. It is front wheel drive.

I have to have a roof, I don’t want to be caught in the rain 🌧️ while scratching my balls 🏈 seriously 😐. I need 300 miles range and they better be forever batteries and not lithium. I don’t want it burning 🔥 down my sheshed .

Anybody who thinks this VANDERHALL is amazing does not ride.! 150 miles which translates to only 100 miles means you can go to the local dealership and then come back home that’s it. Also means that you will have to charge at every stop and if you think they are including a fast charger in this thing You are delirious. That means that it will only charge around 40 miles an hour not like a tesla that charges 400 miles in 20 minutes. So that means you cannot take this for long trips. Which is why motorcycles are not good platform for electrification. They do not have the space for the batteries needed to go the distance. To pay $40,000 plus For what we call a bar hopper is not worth it. Keep in mind I am assuming the base model is going to be $40,000

A few things you say here make no sense. 1) I have a Harley Livewire and it has a Level 3 charger in it. It was cheaper than this so I don't see why they won't have a fast charger in or at least a charger capable of charging in about an hour or so from 0 to full. 2) What do you mean about the "does not ride" comment? Is that meant to be a dig at it not being a motorcycle or a dig at the range? I can say that my electric motorcycle is rated at around 115-120 miles (which I get less than 100 on most of the time) and I still "ride" it a ton. I can ride for 3 hours on it most of the time because I take it on backroads and chill. It is meant to relax and enjoy and after 2-3 hours of riding I can use an hour break anyways to stretch my legs out and get some food. Range is only a problem if I want to get somewhere far away, quickly, and I rarely do that with my bike. This is a similar experience. It isn't meant to go on cross-country trips on the highway, it is meant for curvy roads back in the woods or beaches. I could see this being perfect for a beach town area. If you were talking about the motorcycle experience, well, this wasn't mean to be a motorcycle. It is a 3 wheeler, so it is closer to the experience of a trike. Some people won't ever want that and some will think it is great. It prevents the need to have to know how to corner, shift, and to overall pay as much attention to the ride itself and instead enjoy the atmosphere. Overall, I think your comments are pretty off-base and until you experience electric bikes or rec vehicles, you might want to have more of an open mind on the topic.

Interesting vehicles, but not practical. Not good as an all year long driving car in the cold weather states. I live in Northern Illinois. Plus for a 44,000 dollar car, it is not worth buying it unless you have extra money you don't know what to do with for this play toy vehicle. Onto looking at something else.
