This was one of the most antagonistic interviews I've ever seen. It's obvious that the interviewer (whoever he is) was negatively biased towards her. Vanessa handled herself so professionally. A very classy lady!
This guy looks so angry at her and yet she is simply stating her beliefs and does not fail to look him straight in the eye. His face says it all. Sad man.
Condemning zionism is not the same as hating Jews. Same logic behind condemning islamist terrorism without hating Muslims, or colonialism without hating Christians. Much respect to miss Redgrave! You can be against both zionism and anti-semitism at the same time.
I adore Vanessa Redgrave. She will be always remembered as one of the best. She was way ahead of her time with the BDS movement. I am proud to say she was the impetus to get me thinking about the atrocities Israel committed to Palestine. It's still committing them. I am going to purchase a DVD copy of "The Palestinian."
What no one seems to remember is that Zionism was considered a very controversial stance WITHIN the Jewish community for quite a long time. Only after the horrors of WWII did the pieces fall into place to support a movement with so little scriptural support. "Returning to Israel" was meant for the hereafter, not as a literal prescription to evict whomever happened to be there in 1947. I am very sad for all the moral high ground the Jews gave up in creating such a discriminatory state.

She's beautiful. And honest. Just because someone is sympathetic towards the suffering people in Palestine doesn't mean they hate Jews. I don't see why it has to be one or the other.
I had no idea, she stood up for the Palestinians good for her. For those that don’t know Mike Wallace was one of the greatest interviewers in the world, unlike his son Chris Wallace on Fox News. Mike asked real questions and didn’t take sides. You won’t find that kind of journalist today. He doesn’t hate her he interviewed her numerous times. I always thought she was so beautiful even as an older woman. She played in the first of Tom Cruises Mission Impossible as the woman on the train.
My Jewish-Israeli professor condemns Zionism because NEWSFLASH you are allowed to criticize Israel for its oppressive policies as well as Zionism. Palestinians deserve to be free. Criticizing their oppressive regime is not anti-Semitism.

Did this interviewer actually try to defend people who threatened to bomb theaters who shows her movie? When people want to bomb to stop a movie from airing you know you're pushing the right buttons.

Tough is stephen sackur or jeremy paxman - intelligent and are looking for real answers This guy is not looking for answers, he has an agenda of portraying her in a certain unfavourable light from the get go e.g blatantly editing her oscar speech. And YOU'LL NEVER hear a great interviewer calling someone a fool. The use of an insult reveals a weakness of arguement and intellect
