Vanessa Ruck travelled to The Gambia just days after becoming the first British woman to ride the gruelling Africa Eco Race which took her from Monaco to Dakar in the most challenging conditions.
As ambassador of the charity it was her first chance to see the work on the ground, following Lamin, a health worker as he visited remote villages providing vital services.
