It's good that so many of these entry level players are available, but I think that there is still room for some company to make a more quality sounding unit at this $100 price point.
The clamps can do a great job. Surprised a budget table would provide one for free or maybe it is included to take away a problem, that was what i was thinking as i watched. Lol
Okay got to ask you why did you switch records or was there some kind of copyright issue.? Let's see the Beatle album that you played. I could tell right away. It had a lot of wow and flutter on it and it sounded terrible. Sorry.
Don’t need to apologize….i agree it sounded bad. I didn’t think the other record gave us a fair listen to the record player and there was an issue with the video file.
I may be wrong but, does the edge of the platter have some cling wrap on it also? No biggie, just saying! [Please correct me if I'm wrong, by all means]. (Noticeably at 7m 37s into the video - or is it some scratches on it?)
Well, I'm staying with my Victrola Journey+ signature model running through a Bose SoundLink with the Banpa flip needle. Imo, Victrola has the better sound. Speaker grills are about and half inch bigger than Crosley Premier player.
Same ol' dime a dozen "Skywin" mechanism with the faux "Chuo Denshi" ceramic cartridge/stylus. I will say, the vinyl wood wrap looks nice, but you can only put so much lipstick on the same old pig.
There is absolutely no excuse for these ceramic cart players not impedance matching…. It’s two resistors!!!! Good lord… just chuck it straight in the trash
Put a magnetic cartridge on it, maybe I'll take it seriously. I remember back in the 70's Tetrad ceramics were as close to a mag as they got. Whatever happened to Tetrad?
I don't use velvet brushes, either. I use carbon fiber like you. The velvet brushes, no matter how hard I try, leaves lint behind. Anyways, have a good weekend, my friend.
