In this video we finish up the Vanguard restoration and then head outside to take a look at some additional Centuri restorations coming soon. We also look at an early production Time Pilot control panel.
Ahh yes!. When I do my next restore, which looks like it's going to be Phoenix, (see new video) :) I'll make sure to outline the t-molding groove process. :)
I'm going to keep the CP the way it is because I think it's rare, but I will have to find another control panel for the game that I can put a new overlay on. Hehe... I'm in the other camp... of everything needs to look new ;) (I'm sorry) :)
Awesome Jeff! I would like to see a video of you building the power supply section of a cabinet. That looks fantastic! Would also like to see how you build molex connectors.
Great video, keep em coming. Binge watching all your restoration playlists ATM. I need more contenttttt lol. Converting that machine back into The Pit would be cool imo.
Hey found your links in the forum. I got my first project to restore for a friend I'm a carpenter by trade. Question; when restoring cabinet water damage lower bottom. Do you rebuild case or just rebuild bottom. I'm excited for this project
Hi there! It depends on the amount of water damage, I guess. Sometimes I will cut off the bottom of the cab and other times I'll just build a new cab. Usually if there is a lot of mold and the cabinet is not a complicated one, I'll just build entire new cab. Here is a link to a Defender cabinet that I cut the bottom 12" off and rebuilt that area. 1drv.ms/f/s!AhzU6GuVSfQJlJ4-_oVO8ke5RYXsXQ?e=Bq3Ew6
Originally, I thought the wood grain was vinyl, but it is actually laminate, so it's basically like your kitchen countertop..... so it can withstand heat from a heat gun and other adhesive removers, without any damage.
