I mean I get that it looks cool in some scenarios, but most of the time you can't see anything because of the sunlight, the glare and foggy atmosphere. Or at night you can't see anything because it is completely black, even inside a house everything is too dark. I prefer a thousand times shaders (like complementary in Java) all the colors look vibrant, and you can adjust the atmosphere fog, etc. It's just my opinion :)
Java shaders are indeed cool but if you're occasionally going to use bedrock then you can try some of the BetterRTX presets like (my fav) discord.com/channels/691547840463241267/1281370687101079553
Better RTX is cool and all but I wish it kept the cloud shadows just like the Vanilla rtx has, to me it just makes the world feel more immersive that way.
Cloud shadows kinda creates some patches of land which absolutely lack lighting which makes it look ugly butttt I also love the idea it's just that I hate the CURRENT execution I'm not defending brtx but i think the default RTX needs some updates as well :( Edit: NEW PRESETS JUST DROPPED
@@nevin_yt69I agree that it can make it look ugly. BUT, if you use a proper calibrated HDR monitor and you play the game with HDR enabled, it actually looks incredible and I'd say it looks better than without cloud shadows in that instance. (I use a VESA displayHDR 1000 certified monitor)
@jakestomp7887 BTW if you love the cloud shadows try out this one discord.com/channels/691547840463241267/1281370687101079553 It's a BetterRTX preset "INFECTIOUS" by QuirkyPlague It makes this 10x better and has cloud shadows
@@nevin_yt69 Yea, my monitor is the innocn 27m2v. Its pretty sweet and gives you both excellent contrast and colors (Covers over 80% of BT-2020, which is a very popular HDR color space. Eg: youtube uses BT-2020 exclusively for HDR content) These color spaces are another reason why trash non-hdr monitors look grayed out and weird, since BT2020 is a WAY larger color space than sRGB or even dci-p3. Often if you try to use HDR and it outputs to the monitor as BT2020, but the monitor can barely display 50% of the color space, it tends to look unnecessarily washed out.
Yes, you need Vanilla RTX to use Better RTX. A resource pack is also mandatory since Better RTX itself doesn't provide RTX Textures. My recommendation: Elys PBR & Vanilla Normals RTX It's just a mod for the base game's rtx
@@nevin_yt69this. I'd love a slight update and tweak to rtx, with an overhaul to how rtx interacts with particle effects. It seems almost like a missed opportunity to make usage of particles like smoke to create volumetric scattering effects.
watching this using complementary shader reimagined and unbound ultra settings makes me realise that i could of went with java in the first place instead of going through some dodgy process of installing bRTX
RTX is what we have close to a "shader" in bedrock cuz Mojang removed all shaders support then to introduce pbr thing in bedrock preview but it's very much broken rn i think brtx is for PPL who are stuck on bedrock (for some reason even though they have a pc) and is bored of the native RTX
