Vanlife Alone In The Nevada Desert 

My husband went cross country alone in a camper van back in the late '80s. He stayed in the desert alone and said it was crazy beautiful, with coyotes vocalizing, something walking around his van in the middle of the night. He still talks about it. Love your videos!

So understand being out there in the desert. Although, been out in the Mojave with the military, bit stricker, the night time was amazing at times so pitch black that you could barely see you army outstretch in front of you. Depth perception out there is tricky. For the pineapple if you would have tapped the bottom on your counter it would be easier to remove. Cutter more “spears” also would have assisted. But what the hay you are making the rest of us so jealous with that van life. Safe travels and keep on traveling.

It's funny. People bust their asses during the healthiest years of their lives hoping that one day, they'll be able to relax somewhere drinking pina coladas, without ever realizeing that that's achievable by NOT busting your ass and just going and doing it.

We went 2 years with no rain. This year we have gotten a lot of rain storms and even our water table has risen a bit. The weather has cooled off a lot. It's very comfortable at night.

I had major issues in my van with making my own ice cubes in my fridge so i bought some BPA free plastic ice cubes with filtered water inside and they work great! The reason I got them is because I drove and the top came off the tray and blew my breaker and I had water EVERYWHERE! If I am meeting friends or wanting some type of frozen drink that needs ice cubes I will make them overnight while I’m parked, but for most drinks that I need to get cold I use the “plastic cubes”.

Hey, I have a tip for you. you can use the glass on your oven door to see if you light it so you dont have to completely bend over every time you want to light it. just angle it and you will be good to go.

Ok this is very important for me. I have issues with body odor and would have to shower everyday and sometimes even more or else I smell like I haven't showered for weeks. I also have a lot of issues depression wise and it gets hard to actually get up and shower. I decided to buy those wipes you use when you aren't able to take an actual shower. I used one just now and I don't smell at all and I'm about to start crying. I'll be able to take a shower or 2 a week while using these inbetween and I don't have to force and stress myself out to take a shower multiple times a day :)

I camped at BLM land in Colorado, currently at the Texas coast camping on the beach. Not sure if you can feel more free than this! First I mostly did urban camping, also cause my van wasn't build for off-grid yet. But I got a starlink now, would highly recommend getting one, no searching for cell service :D

Gas is one of many reasons I wont ever live in CA. Here in FL gas is under $3 in some spots as our governor has given us a gas tax holiday for the entire month of October.
