If 4G breaks down so phones don’t work or just no reception this is the kit. Well done. Way back in the good old days I was in the middle of no were ( the north of Sweden ) and took a shortcut over the mountains in the early spring, water had undermined the gravel so my car got stuck in the mud, had to leave it and walk for many hours to the closest house. Good boots and a torchlight are the things you love.

Handy to have copies of documents too. Such as passports, insurances, medical needs.

Great video. I love the grab bag concept even though I've never been in the military. I use a "grab box" concept for important docs when travelling abroad. I never rely on electronic equipment, always have a paper back up as long as it's not an encyclopedia.

@@TheNomadicVeteran definately a grab bag. I did quite a long stint as a Civilian Instructor with the Air Cadets which also taught me a lot

Was thinking mineral replenishment but you touched on that , one thing I would add is durex and when combined as a liner in a sock you have usable drinking vessel or water bladder .

There is only one thing missing from Mark’s bag.................some Green Beret Coffee!!! I also have a spare base layer and clean fresh socks in mine. Great vid as ever and can’t wait to see the update of your bag!

LOL, ex-army guys r so focused - van people would only think about passports, cash, credit cards, phone, laptop, camera's and other 'survival' items like a few cans of coke and not bother with a knife or two:] Would love to hear where Mark is planning to travel to - can u please do a vid on that?
@G4NoChallenge

@@TheNomadicVeteran yep, understand - its called paranoia :] Seriously though, u should pursuade Mark to start his own channel as i think a load of people would be interested incl 'normal' van travellers.

Great video, cheers. As others have said maybe include passports/documents or photocopies of them. Also money or spare bank card. Where do you keep your bag so it can be grabbed quickly/easily but without it being in the way of everyday life?

Todays van dwellers grab bag will be..... power oak, spare vlogging camera, gimbal, tripod, Mavic mini & mirror (not for signaling for help) but to check your presentable for piece to camera 😉🤣🤣 I do like them Boat rat packs, will have a look for them 👍 Never stop learning, always pick up new tips. Along with my tarp I have a lightweight net hammock in mine, can't be used every where but bloody handy when you can and one of them small fold up Lixada Stainless Steel Wood Burning Stoves (there's always something to burn) and good old army mess tins. First aid kit must is superglue (the pound shop 1x use ones) seals up cuts a treat picked that tip up while office fitting & Kitchen fitting, was a bit of a clumsy fucker lol. good video this 👍👍

Enjoyed that. I always have a Grab Bag with me. In addition, I always have a Shemagh, I feel naked without one around, a Fire Striker and Lifeboat Matches in a sealed waterproof container, spare compass and a few Oxo cubes that can make a great nutritious drink! Personally I would never buy a off shelf First Aid kit. I prep my own for a fraction of the cost and always include Shell dressings in a variety of sizes. But as always, operating theatre and personal choice rule. Nice one guys.

@@TheNomadicVeteran subbing for more! I’m planning on buying property in Montana and going offgrid! (Not primitive) more like solar w battery back up etc. essentially the ultimate bug out- live in location! I’m in Ohio now though. If SHTF I have tons of friends and family in South Dakota that are armed and dangerous and well prepped. My goal would be to bug out there! I’d be using the markhor to get there if my car broke down/other complications on the road! I’ll do a video on it when I get it!
