Van life can be very boring. Thank you, Ryan, for keeping it real…after 9 months traveling the West, i knew my life needed more stability and purpose (objectives)… your videos keep you very busy….. your life will be evolving 🎈⭐️☀️🇺🇸
I never expected to read a comment like this on regards to van life. Like what the hell, you could be anywhere doing anything. People live in smaller immovable spaces than a van sometimes.
not having stability and regular routine isn't for everyone, also not having real friends around regularly to do things with isn't easy. living on the road can be very lonely its not so easy to meet people to have much meaningful interaction with
Legit!! I pulled a dead mouse out of my moms car a couple weekends ago, found it smashed up in the blower motor 🤢🤢right by the cabin air filter. It was so nasty
Thank you, Ryan, as said in previous videos, your adventures are awesome and for someone like me who is so far away, they make me live and have eyes to unknown places! Kudos!
Got ya covered for next dinner! Cantonese egg noodle nest Chili tuna packet Hardboiled egg Cut up carrots and celery Pretty good noodle bowl that is quick to make. I go heavy on the veggies myself.
Ryan, thanks for your videos. I discovered you a couple of weeks ago with your longest roadtrip across America videos. I have since been going back and watching everything. I live in the UK, and your journey shows me a life I will never experience, but seem to be really interested in at the moment.
Peppermint extract mixed with water in a spray bottle! Spray it all around your suspension and anywhere a mouse can jump up to. Rodents hate the peppermint smell.Had this happen in my Audi up in Michigan 😅
Crazy to see you doing something like this man. To think I knew you way back in the day, and now seeing your videos pop up on my youtube suggestions. Its inspiring man. Peace and love to ya Twomey -Zeke
Season Greetings from South Carolina 🎄🎅🌴🏖. Thanks for getting rid of the rodent humanely. Where one is, they're usually more to follow. Ugh! Glad you have something to occupy your time. (Call of Duty and etc...) Thank you Ryan for letting us tag along on your trip from Vegas to Maryland.
Amarillo native here. The big Texan is overrated, but may be good content. Travel channel has filmed there. Drunken Oyster - good restaurant 575 Pizzeria is the best in town. Golden light is on the old Route 66 that is a good area for east and drinks. Coyote Bluff is probably your best burger. You can volunteer at Dove Creek Ranch Equine Rescue. Bunch of great folks out there. They’d probably let you park the van for free too. Best of luck! Great content 👍🏻
Just started watching your channel and love every video you post. You’re living the live and are making me want to grab my camera and go cross country with a van! Must be such an amazing experience! Please keep uploading and have a great holiday!
Ryan, check out Palo Duro Canyon State Park just outside of Amarillo, Texas. You won’t regret it!!! A spectacular canyon in the middle of the flat prairie land. You’ll think your navigation is way off until you suddenly descend into the most scenic drop in. And of course, no trip to Amarillo would be complete with a stop at Cadillac Ranch.
Bro I remember when you used to get over 1mil+ views now you barely touch 40k views. Your channels Views to subscriptions ratio is horrendous. You okay K3?
looking good my guy. One thing though, for the rice cooking, I suggest rinsing it with water first and then using your index finger fill the water up to the one noch line and then boil and cover on medium for 10 minutes.
Hi Ryan! Loving your road trip and videos. I have a suggestion for you to visit. Eureka Springs, Arkansas is a very unique little place to visit. Cool vibes. Not sure what it's like in December though.
Mice get in by leaving the van doors open while your cooking or just enjoying stuff..... thats what its like being in nature... keeps your mind sane.... self calming 👍👍👍 i love it
You could probably make some covers for your solar panels pretty easily that would protect them from hail. 1/8” thick polycarbonate sheet would be plenty adequate to protect against decent size hail. Could save ya a few bucks and you wouldn’t have to worry about it.
Mice in RV and cans are common. If you have cats they catch them but set up traps and make sure no food is left out everything is clean every night before you go to bed. I can't do mice. I freak the hell out lol
Nice tips for people who wants to live in the van life, If I was going to live in the van, Give me Nintendo switch, is about to go down with so much Mario karts and super smash bros, UNO, and Clue to play with family or friends big time. Keep it up Ryna.
Hey Mate you will have less latency if your use ethernet cable. Ping will drop less. Can be a significant upgrade for you knowing your 4G/5G. Also, by going on the admin page of your router you can reduce or disable the LED. Cheers and congrats, great setup you have!
Try putting spring Irish soap bars in crevices. Mice do not like them. We do this for our camper and it works so well. It also smell so fresh when we open the camper for summer!
Holy moley! 90 bucks for 150 GB. In Sweden it is 49 bucks for 5G and unlimited usage. Thought everything was cheaper in the US. But really nice setup and a terrific van!!
just an idea for hail, some sort of tarpaulin or net on 4 retractable little beams on top of your car. another option (but might take to much space) would be some rubebr mats, thick ones. maybe you can remount the solarpanels in a a way that they lifted a little bit to create storage space underneath. then store rubbermats underneath, in case of emergency, pull em out and put em on top of the panels
New to the channel but I have to say I'm more intrigued by the day to day aspect to van life more so than CHECK OUt THIS SICK NEW BACKSPLASH YALL type videos. I have no idea how to build out a van but just for me I'd probably have a bigger entertainment setup but that's really more about the individual person. If 3 or 4 days a week are like this I would personally like at least a laptop to plug the hdmi into the TV, then combo that with a gaming system. The TV now can be used to watch movies, videos, a work station for editing and a gaming system. Whenever I look at van life videos I think how can you make the most with the least amount of space. Anyways subbed!
should of thrown your rice into your frying pan with all the left over seasoning to mix up your rice bowl. more space for mixing and extra flavor. also cool set up
Hey quick tip if you have 5G service. I make my videos on the road when I travel also, at first I thought I needed to find wifi to upload and realized all I have to do is mix the video down on the laptop then transfer that file to your phone. Then use the youtube app to upload the video, you can add all the tags descriptions and monetize from the RU-vid Studio Mobile version. Hope that helps someone, or even you!
thanks showing us your gamingrig. and what you sad about it and tht your more in your van than in awsome locations is so true. thats why i kinda plan my van around my steamdeck to have a pc and a "console" to play on or do anythin i need a pc for.
The best value/price/size/consumption for gaming in a Van -- You simply get used gaming laptop with broken screen. You just get away most parts and get a compact solution with HUGE discount.
Right on man, love this lifestyle I would like to have a setup like this for trips/vacations. Also I think MW2 and Halo 3 are the greatest multiplayer games ever
What about using a concave plexi type covering for your panels? Provides the protection as well as allowing almost all light through. Very small sacrifice for major gain. Lemme know
This is sooo cool! Id find a way to get all my pc parts to not move and play pc games in a van like that but id need a little bigger van cuz is be with my gf also but i absolutly love your van 🤟
I feel like these days you can have can do really nice small PC builds in vans like these while being able to save money overall since your not into a sub program. Also it's really nice to have a PC built long form videos will take overall less time edit videos. For me I would love to do a custom build within my living space also have the best performance to power ratio. I get the ease of plug and play with xbox but having powerful for work and play within one thing is the best overall. Tons and tons of resources out there to help keep the budget low but having the most powerful equipment without sucking up your power within your space.
Pretty impressive catching the mouse like that! I would not have been that nice with a mouse! Thanks for showing the Wifi set ups. Looking at options now myself if I were to ever hit the road full time or part time!
Hi Ryan 👋. Know you probably wont see this, but just wanted to say I enjoyed the video. Eventhoug I'm not a gamer, I think your darn good to explained your set up. Loved the part with the mouse ❤. It was so sweet that you set him free. Amazing how it actually came into the Van 😳. Love your videos buddy ❤❤ and stay safe 🤗❤
That means that a snake can also get in. Tell me if I am wrong. The compound that is peel out of your pane could be a health risk in future. You should get a stainless steel pan and season it. You should be able to do it with you camp fires. It might take the some efforts to season it and make it non sticky but it is worth it to not care about these compounds.
YES! I’m so glad your finally on your Xbox again during your vanlife journey and I was completely wondering about the wifi thing so that answered my question 😂
Not sure how far south you're going in TX, but you should come check out the Riverwalk in San Antonio! The Alamo is there (though somewhat underwhelming) but the Riverwalk is beautiful and a sight to see.
Another great video... but.. This "mouse" where was the breach point, how many on its team, what was the mission, I low key needed more intell. Lit videos tho! A-1 content.
Nice van brotha, I want to build one like that for myself, I use to live in California and moved to UK at 27 years old and people camp a lot over here. Your van is awsome. Good job 👍
Subbed once you mentioned playing Halo 3 and MW2. I love the idea of living in a van but the whole instagram influencer craze turned me off from it, but this brings back the feelings I had before. Being free and self reliant. Good stuff!
I wish this was possible in the UK, but currently we only get 1 hour and 30 mins of usable solar energy. Unlike in Texas where you still get 7 hours of usable sunshine during the darkest part of the year for the northern hemisphere 🥲
If you go into Amarillo you should try going to the big Texan restaurant and try the 72oz steak they have. If you finish it in time frame you get t shirt lol
Brother….. did you really say wireless gaming and wired gaming aren’t that different? 😂 They are like night and day. It’s worth running the Ethernet cable. 60 ping is pretty high. 20 and below is ideal.
