Beautiful van! interesting video mate! I was always curious about how these vehicles were inside. Everything is very tidy and clean! thanks for showing it. Alex is lovely!
Love this video. Exactly the model of van I’m looking at for a European tour of festivals. The internal storage space in the bathroom and garage for bikes was what influenced our thinking. Love the kitchen shelf mod you did too. Looking forward to seeing more of your travels and definitely do the ‘ mundane’ stuff too, cooking/water/ driving/ parking etc as that would be really instructional. Keep em coming! Good luck.
Andrew, nice tour of the van sir. That bed setup, going up and tucked away, is such a sweet touch!!! Nice to see all the storage space...hey Alix is back in the videos!!!!! Keep up the amazing content...you have had some great videos from Spain!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet van. I picked up a motorhome a few months back & having to do a few jobs on it. Setting it up to take 2 bikes & all our bits & bobbs for weekends & holidays away on the rd.
@@McTrailRider thanks mate A lot more work than I was hoping to do but getting there slowly. Big job was the gearbox that had a hole in it & had to get fixed & at the same time had the timing belt replaced & oil & filter. Sorting out the the shower & the hobs at the mo. sorted out the garage to take all the bikes & the gear. We have had 2 nights away close to were we live just to try it out & see what else we need to do before our big trips away.
That's a really good setup, i would love to experience a bit of van life one day, great overview and i shall look forward to future van life episodes :)
Even if I run the risk of repeating myself, my driveway always has an open spot for this one... I'll keep watching and if it looks like you're coming close to my area i'll drop another line I can show you around the palatinate forest in Germany, but the trails are nowhere near as chunky as the stuff I've seen you tackle in Spain
Def down to watch some more van life vlog type Vids! Suggestions to keep it bike related.. getting ready before a ride, pre ride meals, unloading and getting the bikes and camera stuff ready, after ride cleanup/ packing up bikes, maybe a weekly special like an after ride cook out series that's like half riding then an after ride meal/hang out. Cool camping spots.. etc. Just riding stuff but mixed in with daily stuff. These things seem to make the vids more personal and develop a deeper connection with the audience!! Keep up the good work!!Keep
Cool. Where did you wire the solar controller to charge the battery? Looks like the lower back of the cupboard that the controller is in? I can't see anything obvious on ours.
Andy, great vids and your van looks spotless after being lived in for 4 months. Mine's like a tip after a week :o) How much fresh water does she hold? Thank you so much for the guided tour.
Great review Couple of questions Do you sleep transverse or longitudinal, I'm 6feet, how long is bed that comes down? Do you have air con, do you need it ? Safe travelling and cycling
@@McTrailRider Last year I took a cross Canada trip in a US motorhome - big but big. NO capacity for bikes. Constant noise - drove with Bose Noise Cancelling headphones. The RoadTreks and Airstreams are built for the uSA retiree market - not practical, reliable or maneuverable. Your camper looks luxury on capare with Road Trek and definitely the build quality would be higher. If you would like to visit Canada - you are welcome to stay with us for a while.
Looks like a great van! You seem happy with it overall, and living in it for extended periods is a good test of build quality, as opposed to the odd week's stay here and there. Were you pleased with the build quality and reliability, and would you recommend Chausson for longer trips please?
We didn’t experience any real problems in the year we lived in the van. You would definitely get better quality in some other Motorhomes, but at a higher cost. I think Chausson offer some of the best value, which is why I went for it.
@@McTrailRider Thanks for taking the time to respond. Chausson do seem to be good value and well equipped. I like the Ford base vehicle and the idea of Webasto heating. We have a well regarded medium sized dealer local to us with good after sales which is also important.
Would you mind sharing how much the van sets you back monthly? Gas, electronics, etc? Understandable if you'd rather not but I'm just curious as doing the van life might be something I'd like to do in the future for a short while.
