There is a very particular sound to the post hardcore that came out between like 2003 and 2008. It has a very rough and nasaly sound, all in a good way, before you could produce at home or could use drum samples. But when i hear any of it it has that feeling of being reminded of a dream you had that hit you really hard but you cant quit remember all of it. I was a freshman in highschool in 2004 and the nostalgia that this era brings back is almost overwhelming at times.
I almost think there's some form of mk ultra in "emo"(generalization of amalgamation of All these genres: From FOB to drop G heavy bands) Kind of joking, but at the same time, myspace music was tied to a program called TIA. Those surveys we filled out have a purpose. That might sound kind of weird, but if you work in tech and like this kind of music, it's a lil more obvious.
As her insides, screaming, let me out She speaks as if someone's in the room with her (someone sits quietly on the ceiling tile) Still facing the corner with eyes gouged out These tears of blood fall for blood is (all she's crying now) As he cuts into her chest, her heart beats on She's just not giving up yet Though blinded by the devil's touch She rises above him She floats towards the light, as the darkness recedes (let me out, let me live again) In this crowded room :D
Yeah.. I remember the days when me and my friends would get drunk and cover vanna all night in my garage with my mom coming out at 3 in the morning about to have a heart attack. She never did though.. Good times..
