Personally I like the cleaner look of the authentic. Even though I would not get vulcanised shows anymore vans still have a spot in my heart. I find converse more comfy than vans. Vault and Pro version are much better
I always wear a silicone insole with shoes like this and Converse, otherwise they kill my feet and knees. Keep in mind, if you want to use an extra silicone insole, you should get half a size or a size up because the additional insole takes up some space but it's worth it, it makes the shoes so much comfier.
