Great job by Ambanis. Hope more such projects come up in india from other business houses and also from the government. 5% of the union and state budget every year should be kept for wildlife conservation to restore the damage we have done so far.
I am realistic only dude but political reality is dofferent which I know is the main issue. How much are they spending on freebies every year which is not giving any returns. Instead 9f they invest in environmental conservation they can create jobs in the remote corners of the country and also can get good returns in terms of ecological tourism. Perspective should change. Politics should shift from revdi or freebies to development.

But i will blame public for this cus most people in our country like the one above don't give a f about wildlife and environment. Everyone wants selfish returns from government so if mentality changes then govt will be forced to change policies.

Off late when i saw a news clip covering " Vantara" i have decided to express as a farmer who has worked earlier and been a part of corporate culture .I am not on social media but this is something that needs to be mentioned. A lot of people in this World have a lot of money but its all about Wealth Creation ...and this Young man Ananth is specially blessed to have this universal connect i have to call him Ananthji with great respect ...He must be spiritually inclined our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Modiji included Vasudaiva Kutumbakam and this was forefront during G20 . These values of integrating our expression that all lives matter and if they are happier makes this World a phenomenal place to be. Just Wonderful. They should keep these Vantara branches in all south states because south is full of forests and many wild animals need to rescue. They should take gov of India help implement it as soon as possible.❤
They already owned land in Gujarat and to make it in south no one will give such a big land for this project and it's also very expensive for such a project.

Seems like a good initiative however will need to lookup more details. For as long as input resources (example infrastructure running costs - not just financial but natural resources consumption like water) for providing a safe haven while on recovery are compensated with output resources (volume of rescue of various species for example) that would be sustainable work to help save biodiversity. I have come across animal rescue group “Peepal Farms” based in Uttrakhand. They are doing a phenomenal job in their local area. It is not a biodiversity conservation effort and only focuses on animal rescue and growing organic food but I name it because of their net output positive impact being so clear and simple. This one very critical factor which in case of Vantara needs to be brought with due details in public view. Another major concern is when we talk about releasing animals back to their habitat- where exactly would that be and are we making efforts to conserve that. Because ground realities are continuous deforestation. So that end of the story does not seem to meet the goal. A detail of the list of natural habitats would be good to have; assuming it’s available online. Why was Gujarat chosen as the location is another question? It is not a water rich state which I think is a critical component towards any green initiative. Can we dare to care about overpopulation/high human population density which is one of the root cause of many if not all issues?
Great initiative. Commendable that Indian business is not just commercially driven but having a passion for wildlife and conservation. India needs to plan its cities and make strong decisions on the mutual existence of humans and animals.

Do come to Kerala where people in wayanad are fighting with wild elephants, tigers, bores and other sect of animals who destroy their livelihood which is farming. Recently a rickshaw driver was killed by a wild elephants. So do portray their life to which can be a great help to them.
Don’t turn forest into farm land and animals will leave you in peace. Though not shocked to see such hate for animals when your religion teaches you “Let us make humankind in our image, according to our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth”

India should target a 1000 such Vantaras across the country in the next 30 years. It would only take up less than 0.5% of all of India's land area. It doesn't even have to be a money guzzling endeavour. There are lot of ways to earn enough money to sustain them. For example - through tickets for visitors / establishing small hotels/holiday homes within them / making products based on animal body parts after their natural death, etc.
The tradition of " sacred forest" should be reinvented- Deverkadu, nagasthanam, etc are good examples.Why we conserve forest?- answer is important.......
