First off, “conservative” is not an insult, it is a description of someone’s personal values. So anybody who uses the word as if it is an insult like Amandala did, yet considers themselves (as I’m certain she does) a “liberal” is deceiving themselves. The more appropriate word is “intolerant “. Second, I get a little confused when I see things like “toxic fans”, or “so and so blames the fans” or “it’s the fans fault”. Has Hollywood programmed the masses to forget what a “fan” is? It’s someone who likes and enjoys something. If people are complaining and talking about how much they actively dislike something, they are not fans. By the very meaning of the word, a fan cannot be “toxic”. The only way that I personally would even consider someone to be a “toxic fan” is if they can’t tolerate any criticism of the thing they are a fan of and go out of their way to disparage anyone who does so. But, that is usually not how the term “toxic fan” is used. It’s almost always used for someone who vocally dislikes something - I.e., not a fan. The reason I point this out is because I’ve noticed a very manipulative and down right entitled attitude that these people and Disney as a whole have had from the start. They really do seem to act and talk like because Disney bought the Star Wars brand they were immediately granted the approval of Star Wars fans. No! They bought the rights to it, not us. They needed to earn our support. They didn’t. Lastly (and it’s similar to the last), this is victimhood on full display; listing every unimportant but trendy thing to blame lack of success on. But let’s cut through her BS. Why do shows get cancelled? Is it because of RU-vidrs or “alt-right trolls” or racists or bigot’s or sexist or “hyper-conservatives”. Nope! A show doesn’t get cancelled based on the amount of people who dislike it, but on the lack of people who DO like it. I’m sorry, but the constant mental gymnastics these people constantly use to avoid reality so they can convince themselves and others that they are actually victims is repulsive. Just imagine convincing yourself that your terrible show got cancelled because of …. Wait for it …. conservatives. F’ing lol.

This is the real reason why they like to use "diversity" in their cast of characters. It's so they can pump out whatever garbage they want, and when it gets criticized, they can just blame it on "racism" and "bigotry." It's an easy way to avoid accountability for trashy writing and execution.

The reason why i didn't watch this crap is because i dislike the attitude that Lesyle Headland had with George, I found her incredible annoying and arrogant. And to be honest, I'm tired that Disney hire people who has no respect for the original material, we've seen this with Rachel Zelger and David Gordon Green and his insulting sequels from horror classic films. I didn’t watch the show. I only saw clips of the show from RU-vid reviews. In one review I say parts of the show where she Interacts with “smiloren” in which she says to him “because I failed!” in response to why her character isn’t a Jedi. So, why did the the Acolyte get canceled? “ Because she failed!”

As for fans dissing the show before it was even made, this happened because we knew EXACTLY what kind of show we were gonna get the moment Leslie Hedland (a queer left wing activist) was announced as the showrunner. The fact that the show turned out exactly as we anticipated only validates our initial concern. You dont always need to see the final product to get an idea of what it's gonna be. Case in point, anybody can pretty much guess what kind of content a Daily Wire film would have.

Generally speaking, movies or TV series are not designed to make people see themselves (to pander to narcissists) or to see their race, gender, sexual orientation represented. Strong stories and interesting characters are all that count and not alienating core fans of a particular franchise is also a wise idea ('The Acolyte' alienated core Star Wars fans and that is why it failed). Therefore, Millennials, Gen Z, Gen Alpha, etc, if you want something to reflect YOU, then buy a MIRROR because movies are not meant to reflect you, but rather to tell stories and engage audiences regardless of race, colour, creed, sexual orientation, ethnicity, life circumstances, etc. That is the ART of cinema and storytelling.

I didn't watch it because I assumed it was going to be boringly predictable. These woke culture warriors are monotoned and morally bankrupt. I'm not even firmly on the right, according to any cool headed measure, and I knew what it would generally be like, apart from trying to make evil people look like good people. The whole sympathy for the devil's bit was a new low, and more than a bit off putting. It was a real, terrifying, glimpse into the minds behind the show. This show was going to be somewhere in the medium of awful and it did not fail to meet that expectation.

No one cares about you politics or your skin color. They cared about how poorly and shallow the show was written. The writing was bad but then again so was her acting, although even if her acting was good it would not have saved the show.

I laughed at that whole interview. It just seemed like some people making jokes (who happen to be gay) But then I saw bits of the show....
