Grimm has double the subs. To be fair view wise Jai's audience is more engaged w/ his content so neither account holds a sizable edge. The channels do a similar amount of views but GG's edges out Jai (again its an older channel w/ almost double the subs so Jai wins engagement.) Jai prob knows which is why he's steering the success gauge by free product value he can flip. I like both channels, but both have a different goal & philosophy. Jai is Jai & he's never changed. He's pretty clear he does what he does to benefit himself. If u have a job u do the same so its not wrong imho. He definitely operates as a business man & knows vids like this spike views & brand visibility. His goal is channel or really brand success to then likely turn the brand into cash. Grim is VERY admirable & does really care about the cause. He's sacrificed pure entertainment for advocacy & it's cost his channel yet he continues. I respect that. U can tell he's in it for tobacco harm reduction & any money is a bonus. I think he was taking a shot at Jai for sure. From Grim's pov he wants or wishes all the biggest vape channels would get involved like he does. I think he sees it as a "vaping made u, now its time u help vaping." So it's not a meanspirited attack. From Jai's pov he's more along the lines of "i worked to build this account & there's not enough mods to sustain me. Im not letting my channel go down the drain based on the gov & people's love of disposables." I can actually see the merit of both to be completely honest. I also think it could be a shot at Zophie who is operating her channel similar to how Jai is starting to. Grim just wants help to fight the fight & they don't believe there's a fight to be had & want to keep the brand they built going. That's about it. As far as success they're both prob fine. Jai may have more $ but i doubt Grim is really any less happy in life so it's about a draw lol
lemme also say one more thing, I never in my life made a backhanded comment. If I had something to say, I wouldnt slyly say it. I would just say it. I never questioned his admiration, and never will. But like you said, im in for the business. Everyone knows where I stand with vaping, I love it. But I also love nice things. I didnt have shit growing up, so to have it now means everything. Actually totally agree with both comments. I don't agree with Jai on a lot of things, but I don't need to. I appreciate that he has never shilled for a shitty product or a shitty company, and I enjoy the way he shits on a bad product or a bad company because it makes me laugh. I don't even buy half of this shit and I'm not a hobbyist anymore but I'll always watch Jai's reviews, even if it's a product I have no interest in buying. Our laws are a bit strange, you can buy a disposable with 18mg for like 10€ but if u what a simple nicshot for your liquids you pay like 8€... like wtf bro. It’s not even remotely dead in the states. Our shops in Indiana are always busy and absolutely stuffed with hundreds of different liquids, every coil, and a ton of hardware.

I think many of us old school vapers/reviewers are angry about what happened to our industry. Especially those who made a living on it or dumped thousands into casaa fighting. Life goes on and vape reviewers need to make money doing other things. Anyone still doing vape reviews after all this is clearly passionate.

32:00 - 99% of the time, a gym is privately owned on privately owned property. And most of those gyms are going to be known names which don’t allow filming. Consent or not. They supersede those laws because they can establish the rules they want. Yes it’s a public place, open to the public. And sure you can probably get away filming yourself or if you simply ask if it’s okay. But once it’s bothering someone or the filming is being used for malicious purposes - then they can shut it down and get you out, trespassed, or banned for however long. Grocery stores are also privately owned and almost always have policies against filming no matter what the purpose is. Yea you may get away with a selfie or a TikTok. But once it becomes an issue, they’ll shut it down quick. So consent doesn’t matter in these situations. It’s usually for when you’re like having a conversation with someone and decide to start filming secretly to record what they say. If it’s to protect yourself and consent wasn’t asked for - that’s what the courts are for. Now say it’s a post office, resource center, or police station. Any publicly accessible areas that are open to the public.. consent is out the window. F you. F your mama. I can film all day long as long as I’m not breaking the law. Nobody’s feelings can change it. No policy can change it. Literal signs don’t even mean anything. Whatever I can see with my eyes in publicly accessible spaces, I can film. Literally I can film your credit card info and it doesn’t become illegal unless I use it for illegal activity lol. But your not a constitutional rights channels so im not tryna be like “well actually 🤓” even though I kinda did go in depth..
Yeah, vaping becomes a hobby again. Back to basics and make your own liquid (thats what i did anyway). Not selling any of my mods and atomizers. I have a lifetime of wire for building coils. The rest is easy to find/buy. It's probably the end of disposeble vapes, but vaping surely is NOT dead !! It's just not easily available for people that wanna stop smoking. Anyway, when the day comes that i'll stop vaping i'm gonna smoke again, but only one more time :-D :-D Thanks Jay and Brie for all the years of fun and info on vaping related video's thru the years. Jai, you gave me countless hours of enjoyment with your vape reviews and I thank you for that. I have always admired your enthusiasm for business. You are a survivor and there are very few of these kinds of people today. Personally not into e bikes or any bikes for that matter. (I live in an old New England town with very narrow roads filled with crazy women driving suvs while talking on their dumb phones.) Though I think on the marriage you need a new business model. Yes, vaping is dead along with a lot of things these days but when I saw the titanic going down I didn’t write my congressman, since the ruling class hates my guts instead I made my own luck and I will survive.
I believe it was the New Jersey government that put you out of business. I've been a follower and have watched your videos a few years now. To be fair you ran a company that belt drippers and mods that not everybody can afford for 300400 of my 90 100 dollars for a dripper so to be fair not everybody wants to pay that kind of money for a mod when I've got several mods that cost $15.20 bucks and they still work and they're three four years old

Not everyone has a compulsive need to blow money or dump money on something as a false status symbol. Like some just inherent desire to have high price things. Am I going to spend $450 on a mod? Gtfoh lol. My inexpensive vapes lasting me years of daily use, many of them ranging from $20-30 usually. Some I paid more, others $15. I think $60 or $65 for a mod was the most I ever paid and that includes some dna 250c's. Actually I think the dna mods were less than I paid for a vandy swell when they were nearly impossible to find. I don't find the expensive mods to be that much better truthfully. There's a limit to what I'm willing to spend for a box that holds a couple batteries and features a momentary switch. Not because I can't. Choose to spend it on other things I enjoy.
