Just returned two days ago. The most Perfect weather. The most Friendly people. And the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen!

Last year, i was in Varadero too and I was in Havana. In Varadero i was diving and swim with Delfins. Drive with jet ski was also nice and I can do this alone. (I’m 16 years old) The island cayo blanco was so nice! I‘m from Germany, so I must fly 10 hours. But I would do this so many times again. It was so nice.

Just returned from there 4 days ago. I left my heart there!

We were disappointed in the food and the service. We stayed at the Meliá Americos. The beach and water were beautiful. Havana is amazing with it’s history.

Thank you for sharing this video. The "Lai-Lai Restaurant is specialized in Chinese food and it is located in the corner of 18th Street and First Ave next to the beach. It is shown in the first images of your video. I also recommend the "Pequeño Suarez" Restaurant which is privately owned and specializes in fish and "comida criolla". It is located in the same 18th Street between 2nd and 3rd.

So you fell in to the Varadero illusion trap? That´s how the Cuban goverment wants to present this country. The friendliness of the cuban people is genuine and comes from the heart, but the rest of Varadero is just a big tourist show and has absolutely nothing to do with Cuba. Returned from there a couple of days ago and did some travelling nearby myself. Go to Santa Marta or Cardenas (and this town isn´t so bad for cubans). Be prepared for a shock if you do so. Unpaved roads vegetable shops that offer some potatoes, yam a bit of dried corn some sunflower seeds and thats about it. Stores that offer big buckets of mango jam and nothing else. If you like horses though you will find plenty in Cardenas (guess why) and they even have a small monument of a horse carriage and one of a bicycle. Cubans are punished if they keep a lobster they caught for themselves. And now enjoy your lobster in Varadero!

Hi everyone!! Can anyone recommend me a resort I can stay at using my WestJet Travel points with a nice beach in Varadero? We don’t know which side of the land has better beaches and stuff as we’ve never been to Cuba. Looking to go from November 2-11 and spend $2000 or under per person for flights + stay at an all inclusive resort.
