Varanasi is a sacred and oldest city of the world located at the banks of the holy River Ganga. Dashashwamedh Ghat, 'the place of Ganga Aarti ritual' is the most famous Ghat near Baba Vishwanath Mandir ( temple ). Manikarnika Ghat is famous to perform funeral rites. Apart from these two Ghats, Assi Ghat is also a famous and beautiful ghat of banaras / varanasi.
