The process of making famous Indian Silk Banarasi Sarees. Mubaraqpur, around a hundred kilometres from Banaras, is the place where most of the Banarasi Sarees are woven. We went to visit the handloom weavers to see the process and the sarees. The lack of respect for our indigenous handicraft is something that pains me the most. This video is an attempt to show how much effort goes into weaving the 9 yards of silk that we drape to mark every happy occasion in our lives.
