Barely two years after STX OSV and Olympic Shipping entered into collaboration on an environment focused professorship at Aalesund University College, is their "green" PSV ready for operations. This is Olympics first ship with both LNG engine and the environmental friendly hull from STX OSV.

Whats the explanation for the bulging bow shape?

The bow is optimized for several weather conditions. The bulb for calm weather, the part over the bulb is designed to handle middle size waves and make sure the cargo is dry. The top is optimized for high waves and rough weather.

@@STXOSVAS I noticed that. The bow bulb optimises for smooth seas and the X-Bow gives a slower vertical acceleration over large waves. No slamming or rapid decelerations. I love it, it's a great combination.

Hello, I'm currently trying to contact Vard for information about purchasing a new 10-8 for personal use and have had trouble due to time zones. Is there an email address I could contact you at for a quote? And does Vard do custom orders on ship customization? (I.E. an on deck green house for fresh crops and anti-personnel guns on platforms that raise up from below decks for anti-piracy efforts)
