If I do this, I may just 3D Print a cover that goes over the POT knob to prevent it from being bumped, then I could just use a flat head screw driver at the end to adjust it. Interesting, thanks for sharing this!
The good news is you can bump it pretty good and it'll only result in the voltage chaning .1vdc one way or the other :) This has been a solid performer for me since I got it. The voltage has never changed from 15.0 the entire time I've been using it.
I haven't had any issues and I've had it powered on continuously since the day I did this mod and it has sat at 15.0vdc the whole time. I am only using it to power two CB radios that draw 8 amps at maximum output. Its typical load would be more like 4 amps when the radio is being used or .5 amps when the radio is just powered on.
