Introduction and Variations I - IV. Live performance by Julian Lloyd Webber (aka South Bank Show theme tune). Taken from 'Andrew Lloyd Webber: The Royal Albert Hall Celebration'.
Same. Actually, I have a love/hate relationship with ALW's work (You have classics like POTO and Cats, and then there's... Love Never Dies), but Julian's so insanely talented it's impossible to not respect his work.
LOVE the first piece!! He is so insanely talented!!! The second piece is still incredibly great, just not my favourite. Gotta love the Lloyd Webber clan!
@yukifan23: Hear, hear! However, although Paganini wrote the theme (from the last of his 24 Caprices for violin), Julian's dad Andrew wrote the variations. That theme has inspired sets of variations by other composers, most notably Brahms & Rachmaninoff--try them (you might like them!).
