CHARICE definitely! right tempo 2/4 last with 53 seconds. Difficult to sing dapat may malakas kang baga sa tamang tempo. She killed it with powerful voice.

Lol just like lea salonga said in one of her interview from boy and kris, she said that she rather choose the singer who is not singing in a right way but full of emotions, like you will cry when you hear it, rather than a singer singing in a right way but you can't feel anything to it. That's the perfect example of why regine's version is legendary.
l agree that Charice was correct in singing the national anthem of the Philippines since it's a 4/4th measure. lt's a marching tempo. l'm a Music Teacher in Elementary/High School/College & Graduate School. l also attended several Music Convention in Manila & we sang the correct tempo of Lupang Hinirang. All of them sang it good...but for me Katrina Sung it with very clear pronunciation... Charice and Lani do it with the re Marching beat...and Regine sung it very gracefully you can feel the spirit of the of the song and the meaning of it ...very soft and cold. Congrats Ladies.
They all did their best their own interpretation of the national anthem diff style no need to compare even marching tempo or slow drag or birit sll has their own heart and its their way tslking to us how we always cherish our country thru the song but for me regine took my heart and call my attention how i realize im proud to be a Filipino

The best are Charice and Lani..The beat was perfect, their voices..wow! super powerful. The way they sang the anthem was on the right tempo. It was an actual march, not slow. It was lively. They captured my heart ❤️ ❤️❤️.

Charice and Ms. Lani for me. They sang the National anthem perfectly with no exaggeration. Ang tunay kasi na tono ng lupang hinirang ay "Marching" hindi mahinhin hindi rin birit. ✌🏼
Yeah but a true national Anthem is to feel the pride of your country and the artist who will sing the national Anthem must deliver them correctly in order to execute it properly even if they add there own way of delivering the song to the heart of the citizen's as long as the pride and tone is there its OK for me... ❤️🇵🇭
@@jayjaytumalom6939 That is just your opinion. Ang nasa batas hindi dapat binabago ang melody ng kanta which is marching. Yung emotion or goosebumps subjective yun. Kaya nga nakasuhan si Martin Nievera at Regine way back in 2000's ng NCAA dahil sa pagiba ng kanta.
Regine's version soars so high, parang ibon ang taas ng lipad!! We know its slow tempo and napaka sensitive ng ating mga historians/lawmakers/teachers/etc sa topic na yan kasi meron nga nman batas or "nasulat ba sa constitution?" kung paano dpat kantahin ito. Still sino man mkkinig sa mga versions na ito ay mapapahanga.

Her rendition is great But the law: HB 5224 specifies the proper rendition of "Lupang Hinirang" in accordance with the musical arrangement and composition of Juan Felipe: 2/4 beat when played, within the range of 100 to 120 metronome, in 4/4 beat when sang. Mabilis po talaga sya parang pang marcha

Just for the record... The song, they were singing is neither an ordinary song nor a song that they themselves composed and arranged. Their rendition to the song must follow the original arrangement as we have a law that mandates the correct way of singing our national anthem. The basis of comparison of most comments here was not about the person who sung it but on the basis on their way of interpreting the song which should not be changed as they will it. Please take note that these singers delivered the song in international events so they should sing our National Anthem "Lupang Hinirang" the proper way it should be sung. As respect begets respect, these singers must respect first our National Anthem.
My loves-Charice, Regine, and Sarah! Charice sings during a time when the law strictly enforces everyone to sing the national anthem at the right tempo and melody. She is simply phenomenal! Regine sings during a time when there was no law restricting how the anthem must be sung yet she does it with so much beauty, passion and respect. She is the one and only! Sarah must be singing this during a time when there is already a law about the anthem. She does it with so much heart that it captivates you and makes you remember how truly special she is and that she indeed is a singing royalty!

They all did their best but yes ,Charice sang it right, marching,effortless but heartfelt, and the feelings and emotion in her voice still there.No strain but powerful.
CHARICE and LANI nailed it. The tempo of our Lupang Hinirang made our anthem unique and we don't have to change it even if you are a good singer or not. We don't have to sing it in our own different versions. That's what we call MAKABAYAN....
