Sorry for the bad upload schedule, but unfortunately, I don't think it will improve any time soon, I'll still be on a hiatus. But here's a video idea that I came up with that really hasn't been done before on the platform. These are not my clips, credits go to uploaders and producers.

I went to the postage stamp show in Omaha when the Big Boy 4014 was there. They had a list of 9 different postage stamps featuring the Big Boy and none of them were U.S.A.

C62 for passenger service, D51 for freight. They’re both iconic.

C62 is like the Dreyfuss Hudson of Japan and the D51 is the PRR K-4 of Japan.

I find it weird that, despite how demanding the larger Japanese locomotives were, they didn’t have mechanical stokers. Southern Railway 4501, a locomotive of similar size, needs a mechanical stoker to ensure stable operation.

That always surprised me too, I noticed a lot of European engines don't have them either, I guess they were always more a North American thing

Some of the European steam locomotives had something called a coal pusher in the tender that pushed coal from the back of the tender to the front.

There was a few examples of Japanese steam power being fitted with mechanical stokers, the C62's being the first example that jumps to mind, as well as the D62 2-8-4's.

Kinda par for the course for Japan. They seem to be both ahead and behind in technology. Nowadays they are pretty advanced in structural engineering, along with city layout but they still use fax machines.

It's crazy that there are about some hundred of D51's preserved in Japan compared to the mass-produced PRR L-1's in which only one is preserved.

Same thing with the WD austerity 2-8-0s There were over 900 built And BR scrapped them all and the only reason there is a preserved one is because there was one in Sweden that was brought to England

I enjoyed the galaxy railways, mostly because it was one of the few railway themed anime to actually get an English dub. Apart from that, the closest we got to trains in anime in an English dub, (where a character uses a train for longer than 1 Or 2 episodes), was probably Full Metal Alchemist and Demon Slayer.

If it wasn't for galaxy express getting dubbed, I would had never known about it or galaxy express 999. I love that he used UP big boy for galaxy express, it's my second favorite steam engine. I loved all of leji Matsumoto work and now he is finally resting in the here after but I'm sure he'll have another great story ready for us all when meet him in the afterlife. RIP you legend

My favorite train the c62 was used in the brave series such as might gaine, goldran, and dagwon. I really enjoyed transformers transforming from that steam locomotive

I used to watch Galaxy railways my first anime because trains in space is damn cool, right now i feel like there's lots of questioning like "Why is Big One aka UP Big Boy pulling Japanese Narrow Gauge passenger cars, how does a train fly, how is there steam and smoke releasing but there's nothing in the locomotive, and physics of the trains in anime doesn't make sense" but hey it's pretty cool trains can fly to space but the train physics is about 50/50.

Have noticed on the galaxy railways that they incorrectly show the reverser moving up and down It in real life does not do that . During running it only moves like that when reversing or metering

Alright. I have a question for y'all. I remember a few years ago that I watched an anime of the Oiwake yard roundhouse fire on the 24th of December, 1975. I can't for the life of me remember it's name, and I'm not the biggest watcher of Anime, so I may be thinking of a specific episode from one of those shows. I am neurotypical and my friend loves the leijiverse, he loves Yamato and 999 from the anime and shows respectively, but he is rude to me and doesn’t respect me like others do
