My one and only flight on a soviet manufactured aircraft was from Athens to Sofia on an LZ TU154. I recall two things about this flight. This was back in the days before business class existed and intra-European flights still operated in an FY configuration. On boarding the aircraft I found that the so-called F class cabin had 3 X 3 Y class seats. I said something to the stewardess and received the reply 'we don't have the other sort of seats'. No problem. It was a short flight and I had all 3 seats to myself. In fact I had pretty much all of the forward cabin to myself. I was then offered a welcome aboard drink. It was an early morning (0700 departure I think) breakfast flight. The welcome aboard drink (no choice) was a glass of brandy. I politely declined. The poor stewardess appeared to take that personally and appeared most displeased with me.
