Vartan Gaming Chair 53303 Review 

I bought the red one and I like it. I don't care that it came from Staples. Its for me not someone else. I needed something that could support my lower back. I'm good now. Sitting for hours doing gaming or homework is pretty comfortable. 4:06 you are wearing a sweater...lol

The reviewer is right. What is comfortable for one may not be comfortable for another. I tried this chair out and actually found it to be really comfortable. I'm really short (less than 5') and petite (small framed) and it was nice to find a chair that I could adjust the height, back rest, and neck rest to where they actually need to be for this to be truly functional for me.

ive had this chair for i want to say 6 years, its been great and absolutely love it. Its starting to wear out on the seat and behind the arms now but at the price point i would HIGHLY recommend trying out or even purchasing

Thank you for the review on this - Bought this at the beginning of the working from home phase around April. The one arm rest has come loose, at the top, and I have no clue how to fix it. other than that I am over 200lbs and the comfort is there as well as the height I needed for my longer legs. I went with the gaming chair as I felt I would be in my chair for over 8 hours and needed the comfort...out of all the ones that Staples had for me to try, this one fit my body better.

Good honest review. I'll make sure to go in person to try it out first before I order it, just in case it doesn't end up feeling comfortable to me.

Just bought one at staples. Seemed very comfortable in the store and am hopeful it will be the same in my office. I deliver training and now due to Covid, all my training is done virtually. That means 8 hour sessions sometimes three days in a row. Let you know how it goes.

Not a lot of color options unfortunately. I wanted gray or black, but I guess I'll do with white. The purple option actually has grey stripes which isn't bad.

I was just at Staples, talking to the sales person about this chair. Gaming chairs are purposely made with firmer/denser seat material to be able to endure the many hours of use gamers subject a chair to. He said that if they are aware that you're using an office chair for gaming, it will void the warranty. This one has a reasonably long 7 year warranty. I'm slender and relatively light so the contours of this chair fit me better than other comparably priced office chairs. Although I'm not a gamer, I sit in my computer chair just as long (this chair is "rated" at 5-8 hrs/day; my typical daily use time), since I love web surfing, viewing videos, social media, etc. It's on sale through June at Staples online for $170 + $10 handling (whatever that means; IMO, it's a scam to raise the price without actually marking it up). In the store, it was $200. List price is $270. I'm buying it online for the $180 sale price and having it shipped to my home free. p.s. My blue & gold macaw, Ra, was with me while I was trying out the chair in the store for over a half hour - including spinning around in it fast... He approves of the chair too! LOL

Was able to play the coupon game and grabbed this for 89$ total win in my book. I’m 6’5 230lbs the neck rest is annoying to me but I’m a tall guy. We’ll see how it holds up!

Yeah...I bought this chair...not happy with it for the reasons you pointed out. The stiff reclining feature without a lockout is a deal breaker! I mean why would you not be able to lockout the recline? Totally defeats the purpose! So now I get the joy of lugging this thing assembled in my car back to Staples! Grrrrr...honestly..chair shopping ranks right up there with a visit to the Dentist! I hate it because I've yet to find the perfect chair that is comfortable for my body type... :( Thanks for the review!

I just bought this chair today on a total whim, and honestly it's perfect for what I need. Like another comment here, I'm only 5'3" and most chairs are way too huge. I have to agree the lumbar cushion starts out stiff, but I sat in every chair in the place and this was the only one that fit me...I already love it.

My biggest gripe is that I can't seem to lock the arm rest angle in place so it's always rotating on me as I move

I hate the adjustable Arm Pads. I'm constantly wearing out my wrists on it when I hold on to them and they just move when I don't want them to. What on earth is this feature for?! 😆 I wish they could just be locked.

i love this chair but i cant get mine to rock. Im about the same size as you. I got it for $100 so not too bad i guess.

Is there any way to keep the arm rests from rotating? We use them to push ourselves up to get up.

my lever is not working like it’s really hard to adjust the chair up and down , it won’t move at all ??

I have this chair, but how do you tilt the chair base at an angle and keep it locked at that angle? I know how to tilt the base, by putting force on the backrest and then the base lifts up but afterwards the lift up/down mechanism doesn't slide inside to lock the base in that position, the lift up/down mechanism slides inside to lock the base only when the base is flat straight i.e. parallel to the floor, not when the base is at any other angle to the floor. I know you mentioned that you had the same problem but were you able to find a solution to it? I am just wondering if we are doing something wrong.

There are some exact chair from staples with the logo Emerge on the back rest and high back rest. It seems to be to design going on here. I ordered the Emerge and they sent me the same as this one on youtube. not the same. no Emerge logo. Do you know why??

Great chair, but i wish it adjusted higher. I’m 6’1 and my feet touches the floor when it’s at the highest adjustment. 6’1 is not short, but i wouldn’t consider myself a “Tall” individual.

Have u experienced creaking noises from leaning back or have u found a way to fix it? I have the same chair and I’m experiencing that issue.

Go with a dexley, much more comfortable

armrests keep losening. total deal breaker for me. cant tighten easily.

sadly my arm rest broke the springs in it that help it stayed when i turned it broke

90% of the cost is the word "gaming" attached to it so nerds will flock. Gimmick level.

They shipped me 2 left armrests. Super frustrating as you are trying to set up everything. Never had this happen ever with setting up something. Quality control ppl.

the arm rests suck ass, they rotate WAY too easily and need a switch to adjust where to stop.

Who else's is ripping itself apart in 2022? It's splitting at the seams and the arm rest is even crumbling apart for some reason. Can't judge the quality of something you're going to use every day, based on the first day you get it. Pretty junky chair if you ask me. My next chair is going to be actual leather.
