It's hard to explain Vasco to non Italians. I'm not a fan of his. Not particularly I mean. Despite that, I know the lyrics of all the songs here. It was a mash-up of his most iconic songs. Some of them are like unofficial national anthems. Every single Italian who ever sat by a fire, be it while camping, or at the beach at night, has sung his songs. He's not the only songwriter we know of course, but he's probably the most prolific and popular one. Give a guitar to a bunch of Italians and granted they'll start singing Vasco. That happened literally millions times to millions of Italians in the last 40 years or so. Put together 50000 Italians and a guitar, it's all it takes. Or 225.000 like in Modena. It would work the same with 5.000.000, really. All he has to do is sit with them, and all those people feel special as they's not just singing Vasco (which they would do anyway), they're singing WITH him. That's what a concert is for Vasco.
