@59:45 It’s quite clear this group have found their tribe; they are all Basques & feel connected; it’s just an accident of birth really but you can see the cultural glue bonding these people together quite clearly. I wonder how far their definition of Basqueness goes though; born in the region only? Must one have several lines of genetic inheritance? Would these people accept, say, a person born in Bilbao to parents from China as Basque? Do you have to speak the language to qualify? It’s all very tricky stuff & invidious if we get down to this level which is why it is much much much better we all expanded our definitions of identity to include the whole planet (What are you? I’m a Planetarian. What are you? I’m a Planetarian, too. Oh, goody we are not going to get into fisticuffs then over anything territorial/nationalistic so that’s alright. So the conversation would go.), for then the likelihood of bloodshed over an accident of birth/genetics/both would be decreased exponentially. Vergonzosa la escena del minuto 56, cuando a la pobre chica le da por decir la obviedad de que es española, y tiene casi que pedir perdón en la cámara y decir que es vasca. Cuando les va a entrar en la cabeza a toda esta gente, que una persona nacida en Vizcaya, Guipúzcoa o Álava, es española a la misma vez que vasca, y que una persona nacida en Navarra, no es vasca y si navarra y española. Un consejo, leer y estudiar, que es muy saludable y os ayudará que no estéis tan desorientados

Cómo los vascos hablan castellano, con acento español, el idioma oficial del reino; pero difícilmente mencionan a España, el país al cual pertenecen. Hablan del gobierno vasco sobre programas. Pero Euskadi - aunque es llamado país vasco, no es un país soberano; sino una comunidad autónoma, según la organización territorial de España.
