@@draco2xxyou protecting haney throughout this whole comment section like you in love with the man lmao get off yo knees n wipe ur mouth. you're a fan of man, not boxing. Judges need get investigated for that b.s call
Man! I couldn't believe this is a win for Haney. Loma won that fight for sure. And the funniest thing is that Haney looks at least 155lbs at that night, beating by a much smaller fighter. Respect to Loma.
If Loma "clearly" beat him then why didn't he dominate Haney? Why couldn't he hurt haney? Lmao. Why would boxing politics gift the win to Haney when Loma is loved by all of boxing? Because boxing fans know Loma lost. But thats besides the point, it's history get over it. Haney won.
I watched this fight at a local bar in Playa del Carmen, the place was fulled with Americans and most of them were in Haney´s side, but when they announced the winner we all yelled bullshit!
not saying Loma dominated or anything but to this day I have no idea how the officials could have scored it Haney's way. At WORST its a draw, rightfully this should have been Haney's first loss.
Not only did Loma win, but when the legs are first to go for an older fighter, Lomas' footworks was vastly superior and crisper than Haneys'. Don't write Loma off on this robbery.
So why did 2 judges give Haney round 10?? Why can't these judges learn how to score rds based on 4 criterias. Corruption isn't crying over spilled milk especially when it's a mans livelyhood hanging in the balance. Rds easiest to score for Loma was rds 3,8-11. The others Loma won were closer but according to the rules of judging the man that lands the better shots (eye catching) and controls the pace usually wins the rds. In that case Loma won 7-5. I honestly could not find 7 rds to give Haney, not sure what the judges saw besides business (young undefeated fighter with future big fights on the horizon). Loma should be undisputed rn.
How do you judge a fight easy you watch it and you watch lomo beat the s*** out of Devin Haney that's how ...did u cry when Devin won I bet u did...@@jalenjames3869
There is nothing more cruel than hurting the feelings of a fighter who has dedicated his entire life to training. If anyone's mind is not strong enough It might even change some fighters. This is not a fighter arena. This is a business arena. How shameful and disgusting. destroying one's courage It's the most disgusting thing ever.
@@guzy5667 holy shit bro😂😂 yes the fight was close. If the judges were fair it would have been a draw or a win for loma. This is how boxing works since the mayweather era. Ps no disrespect to Floyd he made boxing a business arena.
@@user-nr2du7of7gwho was the champion??? In order to take the belts from the champion you need to win convincingly. Even with a draw like you said Loma would still be without the belts and no undisputed. Loma lost a close fight to the champion it has always been like this.
No. I totally disagree and will never jump on the Lomachenko sympathy train. Devin Haney won to the tune of 7-5. He controlled the first half of the fight and clearly took it away with his 12th round performance. Lomachenko lost, but I'd love to see him fight Tank, Shakur, and Frank Martin at 135. He's only 35 years old.
@@zathomas1930 there is no loma sympathy train. Haney got the win due to unfair judges… it was a draw at least. Professional boxers who bet money on Haney even said it didn’t seem right. You don’t sound like a Haney meat rider but u definitely don’t have the best eyes
Popular? Is that why boxing is more profitable, and in the Olympics plus fighters are paid better in boxing than MMA due to demand. Yes MMA was one of the fastest growing sports, and used to have better fights than boxing matches around 2009 to 2013 in my opinion, but when boxing stopped letting HBO and Bob Arum from letting pay rates and cherry picking be a part of the promotion and management Boxing got it's show on the road! Facts
@@draco2xx I watched it live, rewatched it after and then watched again few months later, whole fight each time, there is no way Haney won this fight, get the hell out of here.
The bout took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Paradise, Nevada, US. The judges - Tim Cheatham ist U.S. citizien, David Sutherland nationality USA is a copntroversial judge and Dave Moretti has also U.S. citizenship. Davin Habey is U.S. citizen. So die 'UD' decision of the judges in favour of Haney was predecided. The only question that remains: why did Lomachenko accept to fight in the USA with three U.S. judges? Normally it should be the rule that neither judges nor referees should be of the same nationality as both of the contenders.
exactly, I was thinking the same at the end of the fight and said, what do we say about Loma now lol hence the fact he won the edge and was robbed. Haney needs to stop talking about money and rematch Loma ,because its going to haunt him for the rest of his career.
@@georgewilliam6001 Won't argue, but I think it also depends ,if Egis Klimas is given some leverage on a choice of judges , for example: International judges could be invited.
Nah man he's getting old I mean after another lay off at his age I don't think he should. The world knows he won and he will always be the guy who beat haney if he happens to become all that great
@xXLethalWolfXx you're just watching the fight with bias. Watch it on mute rewatch each round before moving on to the next and you'd see how devin outboxed Loma. Loma threw more combos but he missed a LOT
@@MastaSplintabra just stop haney got his ass beat name 5 shots he landed on Loma besides the body. you barely can haney was getting his shit rocked all night now if that was tank or somebody with skills and power he would've been out of there by round 9
No one was more surprised than Haney himself. His face those last couple of rounds, he looked like he was going to cry. Then celebrated like he had won the belts for the first time. Loma won this fight. Landed much more significant / impactful punches and pushed Haney back all night.
You score by rounds Loma was throwing pitty pat combination punches and most weren’t landing, had Haney winning live and the ten times rewatching it. Crowd, commentator, social media bias was insane for Loma, Haney was afraid he’d be robbed
Man I just had to come back and look at this fight to see how much of a different Fighter he had become for Regis fight ...But man Haney clearly lost to Loma... Who here would pay to see a Loma rematch next
Loma would beat Haney’s ass again at any weight. I can’t believe that there’s people who really think Haney won… they must be blind … their little brains can’t comprehend it.
he wasn't different just wasn't weight drained, He would kill Loma at 140 wouldn't even be a fight, Loma needs to rematch Jermaine Ortiz because he got gift against him before this fight lmao
@@eclisis5080 he’d kill Loma at 140? lol relax. He fought a completely different fighter this fight. Prograis is flat footed and without much amateur experience, limited skills
Lol I watched the fight again, being a Haney fan, but I got to admit, that boy Loma beat that boy, Loma blocked a lot of those body shots and you know the judges counted those at landed. Loma had atleast 7 rounds won. Lining the pockets of the judges, look at they bank accounts
Yea bro these US judges are biased and they don't like Loma for some reason, but Loma clearly won the fight and I was cheering for Haney, but I have to be honest my boy lost the fight
The video is here to stay, and Haney will always feel that sting till the day he stops boxing : LOMA BEAT ME, and I was lucky the judges handed me the win!! LOMA THE UNDISPUTED PEOPLES CHAMP👑💯
Loma est le meilleur boxeur que j’ai jamais vu, c’est tellement beau ce qu’il fait sur un ring merci de m’avoir fais autant rêver et aimer ce sport, tu es et tu seras toujours mon champion 🥊
You can debate this result until you're blue in the face, but as a Loma fan the reality is he needed to do a little more. Watching the fight live going into the last round I thought Loma needed to win the last. Even with that on the score cards it still would have been a majority draw. I suspect he thought he was ahead going into the last, but he needed to believe he was behind and had to put it all on the line. He fought like he was the champion, but he needed to fight like he was the challenger.
This should be brought to the Supreme Court for review. People's lives are put on the line, this is a disgrace. Credit to both fighters for giving their all.
I can't understand what the desire is to "HELP" Haney... he is an ordinary boxer, never good and much less extraordinary... he is just another guy in boxing, in this fight HE EVIDENTLY LOST...
... this gets crazier the more I watch this fight... Dev had body shots sure, but Loma literally almost never backed up. Not sure that those body shots even had much effect. Haney seemed to be getting boxed to pieces in the exchanges and more worried... he even LOOKED like he lost, before he even lost. This will be one of the most interesting fights of this decade.
Chocolate one? Lmao. Ukrainian won this fight. The chocolate one, like every one of his kind are natural thieves, excellent at stealing, but they lack natural intelligence and mentally weak
Dude. Who landed more jabs? Who landed more powershots? Who landed more body shots? Who landed at a more effective %? Who controlled to the pace and distance? Haney. Why would they gift haney a W when Loma is boxing pride and joy? Lol it doesn't make sense. Loma lost. It was a competitive fight. But it was 7-5 haney and I'm being generous. Move on people
Wow! What a performance by Loma. 🔎👓 for the judges. Haney’s body work was legit. But Loma controlled the fight and had Haney in trouble multiple times. Great fight for sure
@@tcoldplay weeeelll, I personally think Haney would have beaten Tank. If he didn't wet them against Loma than he shall need not to worry about Tank. This is coming from someone who believes Loma should have been the winner.
Damn only 24yo Devin Haney put up a very Good Fight. Yes if course i gave Loma the edge. But Devin Haney winning didn't bother me. I have Lomachenko Undefeated on my Records‼️
Compoubox recorded Loma landed 27 more punches than Haney in total, and importantly landed more in each punch type - jabs, power punches and hooks. In summary landed considerably more shots than he received therefore he comfortably won the fight.
Only 14 an Haney had a higher landed % Loma threw almost 200 more punches jab punches stats were close power punches were close Body punches Dev 50 landed Loma only 9. Close fight Dev won worthy of a rematch
@@WillYou-hg6qnloma literally landed more body shots. Percentage just means Loma put in more work and had the stamina to keep going despite a lower percentage. Loma won clear as day
loma threw 100 more punches but landed 14 more and they both out landed each other 5 rounds each with 2 rounds having the same punches landed on CompuBox @@Profanity1
If Loma had more power in those punches he would have Haney all over the mat. Unfortunately Loma is smaller , more accurate but smaller. Loma is so slick I can’t believe he lost the fight. He controlled the pace.
Just based on these highlights, I had that 7-4 Loma (there was nothing from 4th round apart from them falling over). Great performance from Loma. Ridiculous how Haney fans/Loma haters try to change the narrative and say Haney won with 3 body shots and 1 left hook (that's literally the only meaningful punches he landed in the fight).
@@Ofwudann highlight literally showed what happened the entire fight, compubox said loma won, 90% of people said loma won, the rest are meat riders like you. hell even adesanya who parleyed for haney to win admitted loma won.
It is clear that the Ukrainian won. Since I saw that boy fight in the Olympics, he is one of my favorite fighters. These judges should give them boxing gloves to fight and then do that to them so they can see what it feels like.
I’m an avid fan of both, so many casuals because of Loma’s superstardom. Those were amateur boxing Olympics, Loma an amateur legend Haney turned pro at 17. Haney won I’d call it either way
@@IAllan-dq7suLoma got at least 2 rounds advantage. Especially all 3 last rounds. But somehow 10 round on scorecards was all for Haney. It is foking joke.
Out of all his wins, this one will forever chase Devin around. When all is said and done, he'll look back to that night and doubt if he really won it every time. He might even dread it so much that he'll wish he lost instead.
I dont think so it was a close fight. A lot of people who said devin lost went back and watched the fight (even the boxers who watched it live) and when they rewatched it thought it was a draw. Wasnt a robbery at all. I thought haney edged it out 7-5 because loma wasnt consistently working throughout every round. These highlights dont show it but if you watch the entire fight back. Loma would basically do nothing for 1minute 30 - 2mins of each round. He would sit on the outside then make his way in and throw a quick flurry of 6-7 punches and land 2 punches maybe 3 sometimes. The problem is he didnt throw those punches with anything on them (and you can even see that in the highlights when those 1-2s land they dont have any pop on them majority of the time. He was just looking to land something rather than do any damage with them. He didnt start putting steam on his punches until around round 7 and on which you could clearly see the difference. So this let haney basically bank rounds by just consistently throwing (whether he landed or not judges see haney moving forward and throwing throughout the round rather than just little bursts) and the shots haney did land he definitely put something on them whether they hurt loma or not is irrelevant. Judges will see that and edge the round out to that fighter because they can see the difference in what shots each fighter is landing. Also a lot of people say haneys body shots did nothing to loma but if you rewatch the fight back in its entirety by round 6 or 7 loma is huffing and puffing in his corner already. You could say its because of his age or what not but i think you have to credit the body work haney was doing consistently from the jump to some degree even if you dont want to admit it.
@@Mike-hy8cs I think you replied to the wrong comment. The context of mine (which is basically just how this controversial win could look from Devin's POV long-term and how it could affect people's perspective of him) isn't exactly on the same page as the whole book you just wrote.
@BenyaminLorit No i replied to the right comment. You were saying devin would feel like he lossed this fight or that it would haunt him to where he would question if he lossed it. My 3 paragraph book (whether you read it or not) was basically saying he has nothing to be ashamed of or reason to feel like he lossed the fight. The most he could possibly feel is that it was closer than he would have liked.
Compubox says that loma outlanded haney 124 to 110 and he was the more aggressive fighter of the fight. Loma 's punches were most on the head and haney's on body. I don't see any point of haney winning.
This was a really really good fight. Literally high speed chess type skill, both fighters showed how elite they are. With that being said I had it at a draw but if I was to swing it anybody’s way I would give it to Haney for the body shots and a strong 12rd but this was most definitely a draw. One of those type of fights where it’s hard to judge and no matter who won it was gonna be controversial. Personally I wanted them to run it back.
Loma may have won the last 2 rounds but not sure about it, however Haney won 8 clearly, so the judges are right Haney won this fight, big love for both boxers they showed they are made of
