Lo storico Circo di Stato della Russia "Rosgoscirk" è custode della ricca ed antica tradizione circense russa ed è, al tempo stesso, un sito privilegiato per la creazione di performance innovative e sorprendenti, di altissimo profilo tecnico ed artistico.
Ne è prova lo straordinario allestimento curato da Vasily Timchenko. protagonisti 4 splendidi esemplari di "leone marino di Steller" della specie Eumetopias jubatus (Schreber, 1776). Si tratta della specie di maggiori dimensioni della famiglia degli Otaridi e diffusa lungo le coste del Paifico Settentrionale. Tra i pinnipedi è più piccolo solo del tricheco e dell'elefante marino. Di seguito la speciale formazione: Tim, nato nel 2005, 750 kg, la sua compagna Lisa, nata nel 1996 ne pesa "solo" 550; la loro "piccola" Nika, 150 kg, ed il cucciolo di famiglia, il giovane Oscar, nato due anni fa e che ha già raggiunto i 150 kg di peso.

The renowned Russian State Circus, "Rosgoscirck", is a hub of enduring Russian circus tradition but also a source of innovation and creativity, typified by its high technical and artistic standards. Proof of this can be seen in the number presented by Vasily Timchenko, which stars 4 Steller sea lions, scientifically known as Eumetopias jubatus (Schreber, 1776). This species is the largetst in the Otariidae family, and is native to the Northern Pacific. Amongst all pinnipeds, it is exceeded in size only by the walrus and the sea elephant. Here are the details of the stars: Tim, born in 2005, weighs 750 kg, whilst his mate, Lisa, born in 1996, 'only' weighs 550 kg. Their female cub Nika weighs 150 kg, while the youngest in the family, Oscar, born two years ago, already weighs 150 kg.
